Seriously though, I can't be upset about this new Mario movie because it just looks like so much goofy fun. I usually don't feel I get pandered to by Hollywood nerd bait, so this is still kinda novel to me. I see Donkey Kong on screen and point like a little monkey. I felt the same with the Sonic the Hedgehog movies, excitement all around. Imagining some post-credits teaser where they show the Koopa kids or Wario or something and everyone in the theater screaming. When they showed like five new seconds of cat Mario footage the other day I went bananas. I just can't stop being hype about anything they show, I love everything about it so far. Yes, everything. Even that ridiculous little "wahoo" Chris Pratt gives off in the go-kart. It's the funniest voice delivery I've heard in years. I walk around my apartment doing "wahoo" impressions and laugh to myself. Help me, I need this movie injected into my veins. It's gonna be one of those where you get it on ultra 4K Blu-ray only to freeze frame through the entire film just to spot every detail.
