PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/transparens TWITTER: https://twitter.com/transparencyboo #SuperMario64 #iceberg #personalization Bonus meme; Super Mario 64 is honestly kind of creepy, isn't it? Like it's so lonely and Mario is all alone in the world. Yeah, there are enemies and stuff, but Mario doesn't have any friends here. Very creepy. Almost like Sonic.exe. Sometimes I think about Super Mario and how he is actually kind of like my dad - he is a plumber, he is a doctor and he likes pasta. Like man, could it be more blatant that Nintendo stole the concept of my dad? Does this make me Luigi? Doug Walker thinks so.

i am still in awe at this thumbnail. reminds me of The Last Jedi scene where Rey sees an endless, repeating reflection of herself

We did some workshopping on it in the final hours, trying different approaches. In the end, we honed it down to just the states of Mario walking with those lines in the back. One walking forwards towards us and one walking into the darkness, we feel it's poetic and striking. Like the comparison to the Rey scene. /Kiki
