We’ve done it now. We all collectively blinked a little too hard and January was suddenly over. I haven’t even finished taking my Christmas decorations down and part of me is tempted to just leave them up lest we keep blinking our way straight into December.

The good news is that this should be a fairly light update, so if anything I’ll be doing my part in keeping some of that elusive time in your pockets!

I’ll take your leftover Xmas chocolate as a thank you.

StarStickers

In the spirit of keeping this one short, I do want to implore you to read last month’s update, as it includes some key information regarding the future of this Patreon and StarStickers that will be expanded on in future updates. You can find it here.

Off of that, two of the changes mentioned there will be brought into effect this month:

The cost of Mentorship sessions on StarStickers will increase from 30 to 40 points. This is to ensure there’s no capacity overflow as more tokens continue to be booked each month and that the Mentor Tier retains a higher value for its cost.
StarStickers points reset for unpledged accounts will change from 6 months to 3 months. Although I mentioned this would take place in Spring, after doing some projections I realised it would be wiser to implement this sooner rather than later. This change will only affect accounts that delete their pledge from this month onwards; any accounts that deleted their pledge prior to this change will retain the 6 month threshold.

Illustrated rewards

Rewards booked in January have now been allocated.
A new small batch will be opening in February, between the 5th and 8th. Please note, as I said last month, that these batches will be small (3-4 rewards).
Rewards will likely remain closed in March, though this will be reviewed depending on the amount of work I can get through in February.

I do want to note several things:

Applications are open between the 5th and 8th on months when illustrated rewards are available. This is 4 whole days to apply, which are always announced via this update, and several channels in the Discord. Although I appreciate the chagrin of anyone who misses that window, I want to politely ask that if you’re interested in booking something, please make a note on your calendar and keep an eye on the relevant channels, as I cannot make exceptions or re-open applications on demand.
As it stands, I currently have 50 rewards on back order and each opening sees aprox. 20-25 new applications. Although I would love to have enough hands and time to say yes to everyone, the physical limitations of my single self means that applications have to be triaged based on a priority system (nº of rewards received, previous failed applications, tier, etc). Please understand that I make these choices very carefully and that although I know it’s disappointing to get turned down, I am doing my best to slowly fit everyone in whilst keeping a shred of my sanity.
Lastly, if you’re overflowing with points that you don’t know what to do with, please remember that there are a bunch of Tokens you can get for a future reward (hairstyle, outfit, tattoo designs or even a lil bit of spicy NSFW), as well as prints and other merch I’d love to send your way.

New ideas

As per a point brought up in the Discord recently, I have been considering adding a new type of illustrated reward: an Adoptable Mystery Box.

The idea behind this would be similar to that of “adoptables” seen on social media, wherein I design an entirely new character based on a few general prompts (gender, build, personality, etc). What you’d get is a fully original, full body design (character + outfit) that you can then use in tabletop games, writing or to print on a pillow to cuddle up to at night.

So my question to you is: would there be any interest in this? Please let me know below!

Merchandise

-I am ever so pleased to announce that all pending print and merch orders have finally been sent out. Once again, I apologise for the delay, but between scheduling and mail issues as well as a surprising paper shortage across the country, this whole process because a lot more bumpy than I anticipated.

As they shipped from the UK, the delivery estimations will vary depending on where they’re going:

Parcels to the UK should arrive sometime this week.
Parcels sent to the EU should arrive within the next 2-3 weeks.
Parcels sent to the US should arrive between 1-2 months.

As they were sent using economy shipping, they do not have tracking numbers. That said, if you haven’t received anything by the end of April please send me a note and I’ll see what I can do.

Tiers

As always a reminder of a couple of things:

If you change your tier, please let me know as Patreon continues to not send notifications, which makes adjusting StarStickers points a big chore.

If your pledge was declined and you can’t seem to fix it, a good work-around is to delete the pledge and remake it anew.

And a reminder that tiers are still limited and that current availability is as follows:

Easy Tier: 2 slots
Intermediate Tier: 1 slot
Extreme Tier: 1 slot

Other

In January I had the pleasure to work on my very first book cover with SD Simper, for a special limited release that will be announced very soon. While this is all very much under wraps, I am very much looking forward to talking more about it and hopefully rallying some support for this lovely project!
