Well I certainly didn't go overboard for this Mystery Box or anything. Part of that - most of it, to be fair - was the motivation to really go big on my first chance to draw Link again since I was 12. As a gift to you I give you said previous and last iteration of TLoZ art in the thumbnails below the piece..

I will be honest and say that I struggled hard with this piece for a myriad of little dumb reasons: the expression, the face needing to be readable behind the hand, the hair! of all things the hair actually gave me an abdolute ballache of a time to the point where I considered if making him bald would be an acceptable twist on the "mystery" part of the box. Alas, I succeeded and now I have an embarrasingly stunted timelapse to show for it which I will indulge you all with in a couple of days so you can see me suffer at x500 speed.

All that aside, I'm insanely pleased that the Mystery Box is not only one of the most popular options on StarStickers now but that people are using it to allow me to create fanart of established characters, which is always a nice breath of fresh air in between drawing people with animal ears and exceptionally twee faces. (I love you guys <3)
