August updates + Art Challenge (Patreon)

Hard to tear your eyes away from The Great Serpent of Ross - or as I like to call him, Bob Scree - isn't it? As it should be. One does not look past His glory, though important as the update might be.

Commissions

July was an exercise in desktop acrobatics, as I came back from a brief vacation into the tallest pile of work I've had so far. Three gallons of coffee and an unhealthy lack of sleep later, I am pleased to confirm that all commissions on the old batch have now been completed, thus opening the way for the new batch. Confetti, please.

As I plan to work on one of each tier (simple, medium, complex) at the same time, I hope to speed up my process so that I can be shuffling slots as quickly as possible. This will also require your collaboration in being able to accept and pay for your slot as soon as it comes up, so if you have any questions or comments, please DM me here or on Discord as soon as possible.

Loyalty rewards

As I had my hands full with finishing all past commissions, I've fallen a little behind on the free sketch rota. Worry not though, I'm getting back on track this week! If you have a reward pending or you're due one this month, I will be in touch soon so keep an eye on your DMs!

Art challenge

As the artling community grows, I'd like to reinstate my monthly art challenges! The purpose of this is to be a fun, casual motivator to draw something different (or draw something, period!), sharing in each other's ideas and get our creative out into the wilds! There are no rules, no set process and no end goal - just fun and doodles.

That said, because I'm a giver and Santa has nothing on me: for every 5 participants in a month's challenge, I will create a new Discord emoji. Because apparently that's what the kids really want these days.

So all that fluff out of the way, this month's challenge is:

Shadowbringers inspired armors (or fantasy inspired armors if you don't play FFXIV)

Think your Black Mage should have more hobnails on their boots to prevent being rescued out of their Ley Lines? Want your Ninja to wear socks and slippers like a British tourist? Scribble it away my pretties, and make sure you share it in our #art-talk or #art-feedback in the Discord!
