Ok so I got a LOT of feedback for the name poll, most of it negative, so we will do a run off with the most popular poll vs comment names. then use the most voted suggestions. This will run until Tuesday when I finish the chapter. Multiple choices are permitted. Here they are in alphabetical order. It's the last one, I promise.

I wish I had thought of Dorian early enough to get due consideration in the last pole :(

Oblique

To me crescent feels like a name Nestra would actually pick. It's a nod to her fighting style, so it has meaning to her. A foodie name could have been good, I just didn't like the given options. Maw though, Nestra doesn't feel edgy enough to pick that name herself. Like, is heroing her passion, putting fear into the heart of evil ala punisher? If the gangers who kidnapped her supplier's son named her maw, or any other scary name, and it stuck, that would fit for me.

Took me this long to think of black sheep, so I'm not great at names. Ugly duckling wouldn't be terrible either.

John Evans

The name should 100% be Scorn or Scorned. It both relates to the other half of the fighting style Scornful Crescent that the current favorite name "Crescent" is based off, but also has the bonus of actually describing her character. She's been scorned her whole life for being a non-gleam from a gleam family.
