I probably wound up in a room where this was playing at some point as a 3 or 4 year old lol, but now I can officially say I've seen it 😂 SO FUN to finally experience this movie & its wild energy - especially in a post-post-comic book movie world.

So for some background since you saw the dark horse comic piece, the original story was actually alot more violent and would follow several characters (the sequel for the movie does the same). The power are mostly Toon like so comically invincible and holding to the users imagination. Original name Big Head was introduced in 1991 same time as Deadpool possible coincidence that the characters break the forth wall. The Mask I would say is if he had Deadpools violence with She-Hulk 4th wall breaks cuase hes capable of jump between panels. For the movie New Line actually wanted it to be a horror action movie and so they got A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 director to make it. However if you know how Elm Street got over time they became more horror comedy then horror and so the director choose Jim Carrey to star in the movie and turned it into this classic.

THis was Camerons first film role. As for Jim.. I remember 1994, he blew up huge.. Three Jim Carrey films came out in theaters in 94'.. Ace Ventura, The Mask and Dum & Dumber. I was in the military and saw all three in the theaters Ace at the theater on base, The Mask in Japan and Dumb at a theater while on leave in California, they were so much fun.. Great memories
