The end of the Chibnall era! This special is kind of a mess which is a good summary of his run lol. It's kind of wild looking back at how divisive the whole thing's been. I've enjoyed some of it, but I'm ready for RTD's return and what Ncuti will bring when his era starts.

it has been a journey! honestly i wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to take a break from Doctor Who related content until the 60th comes out. it’s totally up to you guys.

I just want to say thank you for reacting to my favourite show. I have watched it for 17 years since I was 5. We are in great hands with RTD, he has won multiple awards since he left doctor who, and I believe we are going to have amazing stories. See you in November!

I don’t often comment on your reactions but I wanted to now just to say thank you - this journey has been quite a ride and I’m glad you’ve both enjoyed one of our favourite shows of all time! It’s actually been quite a source of comfort to have your reactions to look forward to on a weekly basis and I’m sad it’s over for now. Whatever you decide to watch in the interim until the 60th anniversary in November, the truth is we’re all in for one heck of a nostalgic ride when we get to watch the new specials at the same time as they air. Doctor who is about to return to mainstream media and have a worldwide appeal again with this Disney+ deal so it’s exciting times ahead. Thank you again for these reactions - we will treasure them always!

Thank you guys so much, your doctor who reactions have been so much fun! Id highly reccomend watching the torchwood spinoff if you get chance, its chock full of that doctor who cringey charm.

Hey Greg and John! I wanted to comment earlier, but i'm on holidays, so... But i really want to thank and congratulate you guys, it's been an outstanding journey! Hope we don't stay doctor who-less until November, but hey, can't complain! As for the episode... It's a mess, but an enjoyable one! Watching you guys watch, i noticed that Chibbs doesn't do an outstanding job at explaining who is who for people who don't happen to have watched 60 years of TV. Many doctors, many companions, many commenting on history. It's a nice homage! One remark about William Russell, i know the gap and Guinness is what everyone talks about, but... I love the fact that he is the only person who was in the first episode (An Unearthly Child) and the most current one (The Power Of The Doctor), and this fact is true for a few more months! I'll be honest, still not pretty sure what the Master's objective was being inside the Doctor's body, i agree with you guys, with time lords changing forms, he could just do stuff and have someone calling him the doctor to destroy the good doctor's name! But hey, you'll never see me accusing Chibbs of being a good Who writer (Broadchurch still great...). One last thing: I already said on the Discord, but Rosie, in the words of the ninth doctor: "You were Fantastic. Absolutely Fantastic"! Comments wouldn't be the same without you!!!

It's been a fun old journey. Most of the time I bail on following reactions from series 11 onwards. But I stayed for you guys. Mostly because I knew you wouldn't hold back if you saw a depreciation. It's not like you both have shared the same view point the whole time, and haven't disliked stuff from every era you've watched. Honestly I trusted Greg to keep it real and honest. Even when his instincts are to underpin the impactfulness that can be his insightful observations, with a questionable joke or five. This properly balances John's instincts to give everything the benefit of the doubt. With a melody of colourful word play that offen feels like a dance around saying there's a turd in the centre of the room. Cut to Greg, who just cuts through it all with an uncluttered viewpoint. I used to care if I agreed or disagreed. Now, I just wanted some acknowledgement, that a number of important areas have consistently showed the same pattern of failings. I've been pretty vocal with my disdain for the Chibnal era. But the nostalgia in this delivers like a shot of something quite potent, passing the blood brain barrier. I felt something deeply for the first time in years of watching Who. This was saved by everything that the abandoned timeless child storyline failed to achieve. It honoured the past and avoided circumventing it's significance, for a narrative that I believe was intended to bring further expansion and longevity to the show. It could have worked, if it had been properly thoughtout. I have a feeling that it might stay lost to the very infinity of spatial and dimensional engineering. Time will tell. I feel that Jodie enjoyed her time as The Doctor. Even if I feel that she was under served so much of the time. It's a mixed feeling for her departure. I'm sad, as I'll never feel that her time as The Doctor will ever resonate the same way for me. Resolute but still reluctantly happy that this era has come to an end. Rewatches and your views have helped me see that I was both right and wrong in a number of areas.
