Another exciting installment of The Flux saga -- and keeping in line with the Star Trek theory that the odd-numbered ones are the more-chaotic / breakneck episodes, so here's to a killer finalé next week!!!

I'd say this one was a rushed whiplash of an episode. Some explanation of how The Division has gone so under the radar since the shows inception in 63, which is fine. Shame it has to consist of the most over played hand in modern sci-fi, out of our universe. It's not like we haven't had Pete's world in NuWho, so it's fine, I guess. It's probably one of the only very few explanations I'd have accepted as plausible. So what else was it going to be in all honesty. I was a little disappointed on what appeared to be some confirmation of Tecteuns role and the implied insertion of the history of our hero. That's what they went with and I accept that. I don't have to like it, or agree that it changes nothing. Some are fine with it, some find it a little disrespectful to the building blocks of the show and established events. Tis what it tis. There were a few middle grounds I was hoping for. •In between 2 and 3 might have been one more satisfying answer. •Leaving the stealing of The TARDIS (for the first time) down to our 1963 version. •The title in place for just this current cycle. But a TARDIS looking like a police box, before our 1963 Doctor had visited, landed where ever they had and the iconic image was immortalised in Sci-Fi. So that now feels less special to me. But that's not a change.... The Fugitive Doctor, has the title and A TARDIS, that has the appearance of a police box. A version of the timelord that probably predates all the versions of The Doctor we had know. It was possible to add the history of their origins without changing what we had come to accept as the known sequence of events. To me that would have been way more interesting and might have turned off less people who objected to these revisements. But I don't write the show and will have to accept the direction that is chosen. Whom ever runs the show. Might have been easier on the creative palette of enjoyment, of the past 3 years had been written better as a whole. It just hasn't felt earnt.
