SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!!!  And what a touching, joyous, and, at times, surprisingly INTENSE return for Timothy Omundson as our favorite Head Detective-turned Police Chief, Carlton Lassiter!  This warmed my heart up so much.  SUCH a joy to see Tim back onscreen with everybody in full force & the rest of the crew not missing a beat.  Join me for more Psych goodnessss!!

Episode Synopsis: In a vintage Psych-style Hitchcockian nod, Lassie begins to see impossible happenings around his recovery clinic. Shawn and Gus return to the Chief's side in Santa Barbara and are forced to navigate the personal, the professional, and possibly the supernatural.
    Separated from their new lives in San Francisco, our heroes find themselves unwelcome in their old stomping grounds as they secretly untangle a twisted case without the benefit of the police, their loved ones, or the quality sourdough bakeries of the Bay Area.
    What they uncover will change the course of their relationships forever...

The ABC reference was to James’ show A Million Little Things. The cat cafe worker is Allison Miller who is James’ costar and rumored girlfriend.

I apologize but this will probably be long. This weekend there was an SPN Con about 10 minutes from my house and Timothy Omundson was there so of course I had to attend. Tim is the kindest man with so much positive energy. He signed my Psych Crime Fighting book and he just made you feel seen. He made sure to use your name and shake your hand. He is so open about talking about his “brain thing” as he calls the stroke. He was the only autograph I signed up for at the con and it was so amazing I went to his second signing session the next day. Also if you want to hear Tim talk about the stroke and making the movie check out Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast Inside of You when Tim is a guest. It’s a great listen. Regarding Joel McHale, he and Tim are really good friends. They kept it a secret from Tim that he was playing Lassies dad until he arrived on set. They went so far as to put a fake name in the call sheet so Joel could surprise Tim and be there for him while filming. Some more list trivia. Buy Hank birthday boots refers to Hank the sheriff from the Old Sonora episode. Also erase Big Daddy is a dig at Steve Franks who actually wrote the movie Big Daddy. I could go on and on about how awesome Tim is and how amazing his panel was at the con but I will end with this. Tim says we should all reach out to Peacock and let them know we are ready for Psych 4 to be announced. The cast and crew are ready, they just need Peacock to green light it.

Watching these movies just makes me happy and this one especially is such a great ending. this whole movie is such a nice time and i love that we are still even after the show developing the characters a really nice way. so happy to have tim fully back for this film and happy to see him in good spirits after what happened. i honestly do hope we can have john cena back for a future movie and honestly i could totally see him do it even though he has blown up a lot more these past few years. i mean he still even goes back to WWE from time to time which some wrestlers that became actors dont do. we'll just have to wait and see. i think the next movie is probably my personal favorite but then again they are all at the same type of ranking for me so that doesnt really mean much. also the only thing i can think of for the bouldering club is rock climbing. i know they have holds that they call boulders and bouldering is a term there. so maybe lassie wants to get into rock climbing.

Ah, this was beautiful! You touched perfectly on how the Psych cast are season vets that never skip a beat, and still are able to evolve in this latter stages of this show that we love. I loved many things about this film, but a couple of things in particular were, obviously Lassiter's scene with Marlowe😍, but also Henry & Shawn's talk at the clinic, one of the best acting moments from Corbin Bernsen. And poor White Rock Museum, they've been turned into a "playground" for out two leads for 8y and now turned into a cat cafe for this movie, they must have love this😂. Oh and, you mention in the review that someone (I did) told you about this "WTF ending scene" and you thought this was really crazy. Oh no no no, this isn't it! That "acid trippin" final scene comes in Psych 3, and boy you're not ready for it! 🍍 #77! I love the bid in this movie, where Shawn picks up the penap and tries to do the line from the pilot and previous movie, but thinks again and "nah"😂. The nex..LAST ONE is a little less obvious, it's at the tale end of the film, and alot of things happen at the end so keep a keen eye for it! Trivia: There are plenty of nuggets and easter eggs, many of hoom you looked up, some others, the "buy Hank new boots" is not for Henry as you thought, it's James Brolin's "Hank" from Old Sonora. And "tape Galavant", Timothy actually played King Richard in that show!

Hi John! Happy evening to you! I hope you're doing well. :) Wow this was gnarly eh? Eh? Yeah. 😏 Right off the bat concerning the whole bunny Cafe fiasco. ABSOLUTELY NOT. FUCK THAT.🤢 Rabbits are evil conniving duplicitous cretins with giant human teeth. Why? Why do they need those? They're the size of a cat yet they have chompers meant for dinosaurs. What kind of animal that size is meant to be trusted with teeth like that? Do you know something about why that is? And if I ever stepped foot in a bunny Cafe I would call a Priest immediately and get 100 cloves of garlic once I stepped foot in that horror show. Yeck! On rabbits dude. 🤮 Sorry about that rant. But I can't stand those things. Speaking of 'Saw' movies there's the next one. Put them all in Jigsaw's labyrinth of doom. That'll show 'em! They can't be real mammals anyway... Ugh they smell weird....😩 But yeah with the 'Psych' movie... finding people that exploit someone or something innocent and Lassiter wanting them to pay dearly for it.... it's a very satisfying feeling to finally catch the dirtbag(s) and figure out why in Hell would a supposed human being do that to someone. I think someone lacks something they wished they had or they are just soulless and don't think of anyone else's needs - just theirs. And it makes it easy for them to exploit. Because when shit turns around and they are in the torture target chamber they're usually the biggest babies you've ever seen. It's pathetic. But justice- right? OK you have a million comments to respond to and this is probably tipping the scales. But I love you and I will see you later dude! 🤗💙 ............🐇=🤢

Don't know if you already recorded the reaction for "This is Gus", but since idk how many Psych videos we're gonna get, I wanted to ask one last question: you probably answered this Q in the After Pshow intro, but since that seems to be lost in the ether, what was your favorite and least favorite ep?
