Zen Reacts

The Mu in Muichiro stands for mustache fish, and the Yu in Yuichiro stands for Yur an asshole. For real though I'm glad that Yuichiro was written the way he was cause you can very much see things from his point of view. It was really a situation with no good outcome but they really got the worst of it. It also adds more weight to what he said when the moment he tried to protect someone else he lost his arm and that ended up killing him. While there is some truth in what Gyoko said about a having a new sword doesnt exactly change the outcome a ttue artist would know that its the skill of wielder that matters most, but if that skill is met with an equally impressive instrument it makes the most difference. Lastly its always great to see a pompous blowhard like Gyoko get shut down and the moment where he runs up the tree and Muichiro essentially says "bitch i just hit your neck" is so satisfying even with how quick it is. Now that Ive seen the finale and we have all the answers I can't wait to see the rest of your reactions

I really enjoyed the short (back)story that is given to us through Muichiro. I felt like with this new knowledge of what tragedy befell him, and how his twin brother plays on the way he behaved while he was still suffering from amnesia ties things together so well. Subconsciously it seemed like Muichiro projected his brother's personality as a way of protecting or safeguarding himself after going through all that trauma the night after his passing. I like how now he was able to process through his feelings and remember the important thing that Yuichiro wanted to protect all along was his kindhearted nature and his ability to rise against the odds for the sake of others. Thus far the animation has been so stunning and i too also just love the detail in sound design. Wearing headphones while watching is such a treat with just how lovingly crafted each minute detail can be. The score as well is so varied and triumphant at times, and i really enjoy the spiritual/mantra-ridden choral melodies that have been woven into a lot of the fight scenes. The quality of this anime has undoubtedly continued to shine through season after season. It was funny at first with how the pacing of the first couple episodes went, to where we are now in the story is quite the contrast. I was feeling a little weird with the tone and was ready for this arc to be a sillier adventure romp. OH BOI was that not the case! I am truly glad that although the action is abundant and hasn't necessarily subsided, but we've now also gotten very meaningful looks into our side characters. Gaining interesting flashbacks and peeks into the past further driving their motivations and mini-character arcs. I've really loved being able to react along with you thus far, and giddy at the prospect of seeing how you feel once you reach the seasons completion.
