Not a bad opener to the series, with a good reveal.

Shame about the drop in viewership, but expected given people were quite convicted in not watching her stuff way back when we were discussing season 3 stuff on the discord, which really is a shame because her era whilst not always top tier content is charming and entertaining and worth watching and I’ll die on the hill defending it (other than one story that happens soon this season, you’ll know which one and it can burn eternally) and as you said like you’ve made it through 10 seasons and you only have roughly 30 episodes left to be caught up like why not see it through to the end especially when season 13 and her finale are top tier Doctor Who 🧐 19 episodes to go and then caught up (hopefully we can get the movie reaction and adventure in space and time as a bonus once that happens 🥺🥺? I’d love classic who reactions (especially as you would actually be able to have context for some of the facts 😂) but other than a few of us who are watching these reactions I don’t know how big the audience would be for that but I do know sesskasays is enjoying watching through it and she maintains a solid viewership aswell)

It’s strange re-watching with you guys because I’m finding myself liking all the episodes way more than I did on first airing. I was very much in the camp of Jodie’s doctor being brilliant but that she’s slightly let down by storytelling not being as strong. But watching with you guys, it’s like seeing her time with fresh eyes. I do stand by it a little, there (for me) are hardly ever any memorable stand out episodes that I’d love to rewatch over and over (nothing on Blink/The Power of Three/ End of time type level) but they’re a whole lot more entertaining than I gave credit for at the time. I wonder if it’s rewatching it away from all the negative press / endless negativity surrounding it at the time… it’s almost as if I’ve been waiting for the ‘bad’ episodes that confirmed to me how bad the storylines were and… they just haven’t appeared which probably means I misjudged it in the first place. I always enjoyed Jodie’s era (and for me Sacha is my favourite Master) but never as much as the other new who doctors. Looking forward to your reactions to this series!

Sorry guys for being that drop on the viewership, though to my credit I am back! if a bit late. This is for me one of those Chibnall era episodes I genuinely like to rewatch. I personally LOVE Sacha's Master (though I get his over the top portrayal of him doesn't work with everyone) and basically this is a Chibnall era episode where I think the concept wasn't flopped in execution. Also, not that this comment so late will carry much weight but seeing you guys react to Classic Who would be a bliss. I'm currently watching the 1st Doctor's era and I'm obsessed (though some stories can be flops the characters carry the show).
