I love love LOVE this episode so much. I actually just rewatched this episode last week and watched the highlights and the watch along with you today, that's how much i love this episode! I know this episode is not very popular with people who watched the show as it aired, but as someone who first discovered the show in 2020 and proceeded to binge it, I actually really enjoyed it. I will say that I liked the wrap up of the original better than this one but I mean the original is always better than the remake right?? There are so many moments in this episode that i really love, like Gus stalling, the weatherman names, WOODY!!! Contrary to popular opinion, I think season 8 is great, I love that they tried different things for the last season. I think that they had fans at the time vote for a couple episodes plots on the USA website (other commenters please correct me if I'm wrong). Anyways man, as always great reaction and I loved what you had to say about the episode, can't believe it's almost over!! See you next week for another fun episode!

HAHAH I used to do the same thing!! I love Monk! it's actually one of the first shows I binged as a child because my parents loved it and we had all 8 seasons downloaded on our TV. I would love to see John reacting to it!

2023-03-23 04:46:38 Hi John! Glad to be caught up on all the Psych reactions finally, but sad that it's almost over! Psych is one of my absolute favorite shows, I feel like it's consistently either good or great, which I can't say about too many other long-running series. I've really been loving these reactions, and especially enjoy the community vibe from the pre- and post-episode discussions and how much you interact with all the people who leave comments! (and how thoughtful y'all are with the comments!) Similar to what I've seen a few people mention, this wasn't my faaaavorite episode when it first aired. To me I think it felt a little jarring to have all the returning guest actors from throughout the years be recast into the roles from the original season 1 episode, and I think it pulled me out a bit. BUT rewatching now with you, I really have come to enjoy this episode a lot more and appreciate some of the things it did, like the commentary on remakes, and bringing in 2006 Woody!! I definitely respect the swing to remake a past episode of the show, and learning the reasoning for it makes that choice make a LOT more sense (it definitely felt a bit random back when it aired, without the context of the cast's thoughts on the original).

It’s interesting that the original of this is the more widely accepted “weakest” episode, bc I remember also thinking that it probably is the only one I can actively say was only “okay” in my opinion lol. Even still, “okay” for a Psych ep is above average haha. But this reboot was fun, especially with all the people who played characters from past seasons who popped up. It really does feel like they just wanted to have fun this season and be slightly different. Also, all I can think of during that one courtroom scene is the hilarious blooper reel of Shawn writing different weather person names on a piece of paper for the guy to just read out loud in the moment 😂 I’m so curious to know the episode you weren’t too keen on! Thanks for letting me share, even if it was on a more unnecessarily personal level lol. As trivial as something like just watching shows and reacting may seem, it’s honestly very meaningful to many ppl…so take heart knowing that your efforts are not lost on us- especially in this community :) Excited for the next episode! ✌️
