Before anything else, I love how this reactions are not only fun but educational, because I never really thought of the Musical genre having multiple sub-genres like you put it, it's funny because I had a conversation with a friend about horror films and how he only thought of the genre as only "scary monster/people movies", and I've explained to him the multiple sub-genres of it, and now I learn this, so thanks! I love this ep for its many story elements, especially the gut punch at the end, because we know, or we would've imagine that someone else or atleast the girlfriend will or should know the secret at some point, and how masterfully tragic that scene was, cause this whole ep. was about the love & future for a couple and we had a implosion of another at the least expected moment. That flashback segment hit me hard😢, especially that Jules quote "the best things, the richest things, aren't supposed to come easily", beautiful quote! Now from a sad note to a more lighthearted one, that Buzz scene had me rolling when I first saw that,🤣🤣 and the song is another little running gag of the show that' you'll see more of, and I unironically banger ringtone imo, if you wanna hear the extracted clean version cause unfortunately there's no official release: youtube.com/watch?v=uxMCxVHoqlI . The next ep. is a interesting two parter to the event of this ep. 🍍 It counts! You got the jackpot! 5 jackpots to be exact now. Clue: Guess Shawn didn't saw that thing with Juliet coming, some psychic, huh? Trivia: Patrick Sabongui who played Tito (one of Rizzo's henchmen, did multiple stuntwork and small roles throughout the show before getting his first credited role here.

first i want to say i appreciate the thoughts on musicals and never really saw musicals like that as flev said. ive seen the sweeney todd movie but never even thought about the actual musical as plenty of movies ive seen. ill have to look into those and just explore. second, i love this episode and man that ending is rough to watch but you know it had to come at some point also love seeing lassie be open and showing he does appreciate the people around him as well.

This episode is so conflicting because it’s definitely a favorite with seeing everyone having fun and getting along, but man what a brutal ending it is every time lol. You hit it right on with saying there is just something magical about this show. Something about it is always so comforting and uplifting, even in the more serious moments.

Hi John. I hope you are doing well this evening. Speaking of weddings, marriages and the like.... for some reason my mind floats to a story in the Bible where some dude married and went to bed with one woman. But when he woke up she had changed into someone else. Ye Olde switcheroo. To prevent this from happening- I think- all one has to do is sleep in the same pair of pants. You know like conjoined twins do. They left out that very practical solution in the Bible. But trust me... I think I would know that that used to be in there. 😉 😜 Anyway..... yeah that whole unexpected quality as well ...you never know what God has in store for you. I say no matter how much the enemy has oppressed you God will bless you (and myself) exponentially!!!!! OK well goodnight Moon. 😴 I love you! 💙 and I will hopefully see YOU next time! 🧸

Side note: LOVED hearing all your thoughts on the musical episode!! I really love all the conversations our little Psycho community have here on Patreon together - it feels like we are all just friends hanging out :) love all of y’all!! I LOVE this episode but on rewatches I have to find something else to do during that final scene because it’s just so heart wrenching I can’t handle giving it my full attention haha “I’m good at what I do… and what I do… is good… right?” Shoutout to James’ delivery of that UGH so good That feeling you (and all of us) had at the end of the episode proves just how amazing and solid the writing throughout the entirety of the show is. We have 7+ years (their time) worth of memories and relationship-building between these two. When the credits roll, it feels earth-shattering and so real to the point it’s almost uncomfortable because there’s no way to guess how it’ll turn out. A core foundational “truth” has just been uprooted and all we can do is watch and hope these characters we care so much about can pick up the pieces. This show has a way of getting under your skin without you even realizing it. I also love how they build it up the entire episode with Lassie and Marlowe’s trust/love, Karen’s monologue, etc. it makes the conflict hit even harder. Especially if you factor in the fact that Juliet has all this trauma from her dad lying to her all her life, so another person she loves revealing that he’s also been lying? Geez, poor Jules. (And also shoutout to Maggie bc WOW her acting) But I’m proud of Shawn for admitting it to her. A younger, less mature version of him would have made up some stupid excuse and lied his way out of it, but Shawn loves Juliet and to keep lying to her would just hurt her even more. Shawn remembering what Jules said years ago about ‘the richest things not coming easy’ was such a beautiful moment. Shawn knows the road ahead is not going to be easy but he’s hoping it’ll be worth it. Here’s to the road ahead!! See you next week :)

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! And you bet I'm going back and watching all the previous reactions! I'm loving hearing your thoughts on each episode and reading all the comments too. It's a wonderful little Psych bubble you've got here and I'm looking forward to settling in! I love seeing chief Vick in this environment. It's just so fun! Oh and Buzz, or Magic Buzz as you said lol! Again, so much fun. And Lassie and Marlowe. The white suit, the red dress, need I say more haha. I just love them together so much. As Henry says, when it's good, there's nothing like it. Just pure, uncomplicated. 🥰 And now for that final scene. Oh man. It moves me to tears everytime I see it. They did it so well. Especially with the flash backs and just the detail of starting the flash backs with the first time he met Jules and also ending the flashback with the same image of her. Goodness, it's so heartbreaking. And when Jules said she felt so stupid, I remember feeling that in my gut the first time I watched it. Its so conflicting the way I wanna be on Shawn's side with the whole self preservation defense and the fact that he is doing good things, yet your ultimately faced with the unethical and dishonest aspect of it all. And just the fact that Jules has said how important honesty is to her makes it hurt all the more deeply. This show man, they really know how to get you in all the feels! It really is magic. And a turning point indeed. Anyways, this is one of those eps where I just get so lost in the story I completely forget about the pinaps, I had no recollection of where they were in this ep so good job on the retroactive spotting haha Thanks for another great reaction. Looking forward to your thoughts on the next one! 🖤

for me this was fun till the last 5 minutes. I think they knew the show was running out of ideas so they had to do this, but I feel it was the downfall of the show.
