I recently found you on you tube and I'm a new patron. I only wish I'd found you sooner so I could have been on this Psych journey with you from the beginning. But I'm honored to be here in the end. This show holds a very special place in my heart. Like many fans I've watched the series through several times over and it's a joy to share your first. Musicals are not my jam, this is only my second time watching the musical, but for Psych and for you I shall endure lol. I do of course appreciate the writing, the comedy, Gus' dance moves and his Jamaican accent, of course Yang and most of all Mary 🥰🥹 Random thoughts: -Love your pinap song. 🎶The pinap! The pinap! Will it appear in the front or in the back?🎶 -You finishing Gus' Pluto line was *chef's kiss* -Damit...under Santa Barabara skies is stuck in my head now lol -The Buffy musical ep was "Once more, with feeling" and you're right it wasn't an extended length episode. -Heartwarming to hear that you've yet to see the last ep of Buffy because you're not ready to let go. I totally get it. I wasnt ready either. So much so that I started rewatching it very soon after. Also, on one of my rewatches I watched Angel in tandem with Buffy which is something you could look forward to if you didn't already do that. Since Angel had one more season after Buffy ended it helped ease the pain, slightly lol Anyways, this was a great reaction and I enjoyed it so much more with you. Love your thoughts and can't wait to continue on this journey! 🖤

I grew up watching the brat pack in the 80s and Ally Sheedy was cool back then, but i truly believe her work as Yang is her best ever.

To reiterate, if this wasn't already obvious, I LOVE PSYCH!! And to kind of clarify my comment from last weak, my tastes in movies & tvs are all over the place, but I have an odd relation with musicals, while I've said that I'm not a big musical fan, that's not entirely true, like I've said, I really love Psych so I can enjoy a Psych themed musical, I also am very nostalgic for Disney Channel, HSM, Camp Rock, etc. those were my childhood, and even after this many years, the songs I always love to revisit most are the ones from those movies, on the other side of things, I tried watching films like Les Miserable with Hugh Jackman, didn't particularly enjoy that, and tried to get into Glee, that didn't work either, so idk. Regardless of all of that, I knew that you will enjoy this and that made it a more exciting experience to rewatch it with you, I love especially how so connected you became with the characters, that the scene with Yang & Mary finally having a moment hit you as hard as any long time psych-o. You touched everything that needed to be said, so now we're moving forward to the next ep, which is a big one in it's own right, and you'll understand why The Musical was best be watched before this ep. 🍍🎵 🎶!! Watch out for that Jack in the pot next ep! Trivia: There's an extensive THR interview with James Roday Rodriguez aroud the time of the release, but what it boild down to was that Steve Franks wanted to do a musical for years, and the only issue was to prove to USA Network that it was fiting and worth the timeslot for a musical themed ep,, and after years of colaboration it was the tribute eps like Mr Yin "Hitchcock" ep, and Dual Spires "Twin Peeks" ep that proved Psych was capable of pulling of great themed eps. And the whole out of canon thing (keep in mind that this aired after S7 finale) was due to the fact that The Musical was constrained to the regular episode shooting time, so Franks worked on this for weeks during production for the rest of the season, so it was hard to keep it in line with the chronology.

Hey, John! I know it's been a few weeks since I tuned in (had to get my sister married off :) ) but I made it back just in time for the Musical!! I'm BEYOND thrilled you enjoyed the hell out of this one! I'm a massive fan of musicals so when they released this I was an absolute chaotic mess haha! AND Anthony Rapp? Rent happens to be one of my favorite musicals so having him was a dream :) There are several interviews with him discussing his experience with the Psych family and he has nothing but adoration for them. He even said that in all of his of experience filming, this was the most fun he's ever had. (just further proof that the Psych family is the best one hehe). Not to mention how time and time again, they are able to bring back a-list guest appearances and find ways to even bring back dead ones (RIP Mary Lightly haha) I mean, who wouldn't want to work with Psych?? Musical Nerd Note = so one of the things I like to pick apart from musicals is the music composition and styling. You can tell they really took the time to add little flourishes of the score we hear so often in the background of Psych episodes to different songs. I've rewatched this so many times over the years and I still find myself pausing and replaying pieces and being like "wait... that chord progression is from the yin/yang theme!" UGH I LOVE IT. ANYWAYS, I'm so glad you loved the Musical, John!! I had a feeling you would! And bravo on your musical intro!! I was honestly jamming out a little bit! Hahaha! Your smiling face always lights up my day! Happy new year and see you next week :)

Hi John. Good evening. Yeah I wonder if the whole Jack the ripper never being caught thing was actually true. ???? I mean how do they know? And...who are these...they, anyway? Well. I'm tuckered out. Especially after reading the other novel length responses on here today. Take it easy dude!
