This finale is absolutely excellent. Probably my favorite two-parter in Who. I think this is my favorite thing Steven Moffat has ever written.

What an amazing story and set up for a send off not only for this cast but this show runner. The First Doctor was a big inspiration to Capaldi when he created the 12th Doctor. Capaldi wanted that grumpy old alien as his character but overtime 12 evolves into a loving and selfless paternal figure during his run. Michelle Gomez as Missy is a chef’s kiss performance of madness and desperation for friendship. The final battle is so action packed but hard hitting in the feels for me. One of my favorite DW stories ever.
