During this episode, John asked if the pretty cop in the thumbnail had appeared in another episode of SPN and the answer is yes. In S7 Sam and Dean had to go to the Alpha vampire for his blood to make a spell to kill the Leviathans and she was the girl they found that the Alpha had taken when she was a little girl. The boys tried to rescue her, but she went back to the Alpha and called him Daddy. As the boys were leaving, the Alpha said "See you next season" but we haven't seen him yet.

I enjoyed season 11 more than 10 but I still feel like the show hit a creative wall these last few seasons and they were just going in circles. But there will be some interesting episodes that i want to see your reactions to. Look out for the episode titled Baby.

I really like S11! It's my favorite since the Kripke era just because they manage to pull an interesting story ark that makes sense within the story so late into the show's life span. But ofcourse there will be your usual MOTW ep. and such, but overall I think it's better than the most recent ones.

Season 11 is one of my all time favourite seasons - like top 3 :) The relief I felt when Dean just straight up killed all the Stynes last season, when I’d assumed they were being set up as the season 11 bad guys… phew!

well we just watched the next episode and definitely felt it was surprisngly GGREAT so if more are like that one then we're all for it. You beat Leviathan season we're square haha

I get REALLY frustrated with this show (particularly how Sam is mishandled for years) but I'm often still surprised and impressed at regular intervals. John is forever providing the good faith analysis, acknowledging solid moments/writing/acting - even in episodes or arcs that he doesn't love. It makes me love him even more. It is, however, becoming difficult to watch along with Greg because he kind of makes it clear that he doesn't want to bother. The responses appear to be pretty mood-based from this end. So, question: Is there any major reason not to let Greg off the hook and/or get a different watch partner for John?

Ouch….while i am more straight forward due to the fact I just plain & simple got a lot more to do for all the videos & channel on my end so Ive adapted a more blunt honest approach about my feelings cause it’s my responsibility to keep us on track for all the to dos of the day - what I mean is I’m more direct to save time. I’m even the one who takes time to reply to some of these comments. So yeah I’m not actively seeking to pin point the things that worked but instead lead with overall feelings - unlike J who like in this case shares my overall feelings but does point out some positives (I let him handle that cause hey one of the reasons I hired him). I will say I loved episode 2. Gotta admit, comment hurts cause it’s my favorite show to cover on Patreon.

And I just watched 11x3. YIKES. I know there's a lot of sarcasm/hyperbole involved but 1 - I am super sorry about your pup. 2. – I hope that your wedding was amazing. 3 - The observation wasn't a reaction to that one episode but, rather, to the overall trend that I’m observing. Honestly, even when the SPN episodes are good, you haven't seemed impressed or overly engaged, which makes sense. You guys work on a fuckton of content. So the question is: Do you care about this particular content anymore? If not, that’s perfectly OK. This is 100% not a rejection of you, your critiques, or your desire to succinctly state your case. No one wants to muzzle you or make you fill quotas. I fucking HATE it when people in comments tell you, in advance, what episodes you are expected to love or hate. My comment was intended to be more like: “Life is short. If you are not finding this engaging, man, go do other things you love. If John still enjoys this, let him do it. No one will drag you for not being a completionist.” As a huge fan of both you and John (I mean, I'm here, right?) and someone who can objectively watch SPN, admitting they get a lot right and quite a bit wrong: It's hard to enjoy this with you if the impression is that this has become a chore, you aren't enjoying yourself and that John is having to defend the things he does enjoy. I actually like and care about you two and would hate it if you were stuck reacting to content out of obligation. (Plus, the reaction isn’t exactly going to be fair to the content.) Let’s be honest, you could probably throw a rock and find someone who watched early SPN but couldn’t make it past the Leviathans. LOL. Regardless, that wasn’t a fully serious suggestion…more like imagining a hypothetical John in a hypothetical future, where hypothetical Greg is free of obligation to one of the longest running shows ever, finding one of the millions of viewers who dropped off after several seasons of SPN and is willing to watch a few seasons with him. I was asking: Might everyone be happier in that scenario? It’s also not like you are the only review duo on your channel. I was sad when I saw that you were watching Umbrella Academy with “not-John” – but ended up loving those reactions, so I know that other pairs can work. Regardless, if you actually still enjoy this, excellent. I'll be watching the last ~1.5 seasons for the first time with you. #bitterender
