I watched this show as it aired, so when this episode ended, I threw my remote at the tv cause I knew I would have to wait months before getting closure

They said "how can we up our game from the yang trilogy for this finale" and decided shooting Henry was the only way, respect And we are about to enter an absolutely insane season with some of the show's best episodes

AHHH YOU MADE IT!! Hahah you’re reaction to the end what’s mine as well 😅 Pretty sure this is the first time anything like this has happened to a main character! And I LOVED the film noir feeling of this episode as well! Also, like you mentioned, you can tell Shawn really cared about helping Henry out here especially when dealing with the betrayal of his partners. Whenever I watch this episode I simultaneously play in my head the “Disco Didn’t Die, it was Murdered” episode (3x5) where they basically have the same core plot: an old case of Henry’s comes up and Shawn/Gus must work with him to solve it. Season 3 Shawn vs. season 6 Shawn is SO different but in a way that the character development makes sense. They still have their banter and while they don’t outwardly say they love each other, they do it in other ways, and I really appreciate the writers for that - they KNOW their characters and exactly what 4 seasons of character development should look like in a relationship without going over the top or out-of-character. Well, as many people already mentioned, this was a stressful time for us cause we had to wait MONTHS to see what happened to Henry, and it's funny that you mentioned "Who Shot Mr. Burns?", cause that Simpsons ep was a tribute to "Who Shot J.R.?" from the 80's classic Dallas (which is where my mind goes whenever I rewatch this), and this is a tribute Psych ep for a classic so it all fits together. We are so close to the end, much closer than you think, cause S7 has only 14 eps and S8 only 10, so we have just T-6 months worth of Psych (barring any future delays), not ready yet!😭😭 🍍😂😂 It looks like in that insert that you stayed into the wee hours of the night scrubbing every frame to find that damn pineapple, which is what many Psych-os did back in the day. Clue: The next ep is gonna be piping hot! Trivia: The name Veronica Towne comes from the actress Veronica Lake who played in "The Blue Dahlia" (which is her daughter's name) + writer of Chinatown Robert Towne.
