this is my absolute favorite christmas special! i cry every time and i don't even really know why 😭 i mean, it probably has something to do with twelve and river being perfect together, or rather, capaldi and kingston having really good chemisty in playing off of each other. river's speech right before she realizes it's him is one of my favorite speeches in the show, actually. in rewatching the entire episode here, though, i do agree that it's pretty clunky in the beginning, and some of the humor is too silly, but around the mid-point, i think, is where it picks up. which, surprise, surprise, is where it gets more romantic and where river does her little speech haha! anyways, loved watching this episode with you guys! always enjoy your reactions! :)
