Episode Synopsis:  After upsetting Juliet by reuniting her with her estranged father without taking the time to learn that he's a con man, Shawn tries to assuage her by hiring him on a case to prove he's changed...

This is one of the few episodes that I just didn’t like. Because once again (the other example being the one with the long lost bf who was in witness protection), in order to get more backstory for Juliet, we had to have the men in her life, specifically Shawn, treating her like garbage. She set a clear boundary with him and he ignored that, did what he wanted, and then told Juliet that she was wrong about her own feelings all while being chummy with the dad that she wanted nothing to do with, basically rubbing her face in it. And Juliet is proven right over the course of the episode, Shawn should have left well enough alone because her father is awful, William Shatner or not. And he wouldn’t have even been able to commit his perfect crime if it weren’t for Shawn sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. Frank spent the episode knowing and admitting to doing things that were hurting Juliet but ultimately, of course, just at that last second he says he did the right thing so that makes him a “good guy” and even still, Juliet doesn’t totally know the truth. Shawn’s complete disregard for Juliet’s feelings because he thinks he knows better really takes his character down several notches for me. He doesn’t know better than her because he is not her. He doesn’t know the entire story, he doesn’t know every detail of what Juliet’s been through, and to suggest that Shawn’s situation with Henry excuses his behavior or gives him some knowledge that Juliet doesn’t possess is ridiculous. Shawn did what he wanted regardless of anyone’s feelings because that’s what Shawn does. He's pretty similar to Frank in that way, and they say we end up with people like our parents.

Awww.... John- you received my art gift and liked it! Yay! Happy cat! ^_^ I was worried you never got it. So success! But as far as the episode of Psych goes I think with that whole Juliette thing and their history - it's important to be yourself. And to weigh your priorities. Everything is subjective and people are who they are. I know they're just characters in a show, but they need to do what makes them happy and compromise. That doesn't mean becoming someone different - just a better you. If that makes any sense. ???? Well anyway I love you and I wasn't expecting you to show the art on here today. But cool!
