the Valyrians are pretty much an offshoot of bloodline from old valyria, not nessarily from targaryans.

It felt like Daemon does actually love and care about his family. He's just extremely arrogant and also a vicious leader as seen with the way he lead the Goldcloaks. I don't think that he would have actually murdered Viserys for the throne. At least before this "betrayal." Pretty sure all bets are off now. It will be interesting, because he does seem to have a real bond with Rhaenyra. I kept thinking the baby was either going to be stillborn or a girl. But having it be a boy who doesn't die until after he's born was just even more brutal for Viserys. I really enjoyed this episode. I was lukewarm on watching it after GoT S8, but I'm excited for more now!
