John - your WI accent sounds like someone from Illinois doing a WI accent...lol. The whole WI vibe of this episode is really off, and it's one of the reasons I never liked it. However, now..? I've grown to enjoy what the show was trying to do with this. So many layers. There's the pastor, who has given up his taste for revenge. His wife, who is secretly carrying on her father's revenge AND his vision. Lots of family dynamics at play. Nature vs nurture. Greg - I like the what you said about finding love. It's another aspect that adds to the picture. Fascinating. And of course, the conversation at the end. In any other context, it sounds like a couple having the boundaries conversation...but with Sam and Dean? It's borderline comical, "We can't be brothers anymore". Like, WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? Hahahahaha.

Zelda Who Actually

I’m going to be that oddball out and say that this episode has always felt off beat to me. It almost feels like to episodes spliced together with no smooth transition. The first half was really fun where you have quirky Garth escaping from the hospital only to find he’s a werewolf and he’s a family who are really good “monsters”. All of a sudden there’s this almost push to prove something has to be amid and then BAM! Weird Ragnarok werewolf cult. Firstly, I feel like the lore there wasn’t explored enough to feel immersive. Secondly, it felt like they threw in the weird cult just because they needed an adversary. There was no hint that there was an evil cult or rogue warewolves of any kind. Just dead animals. It felt off to me how fiercely they were investigating seemingly nothing. I agree with Greg, it would have been more interesting and enjoyable had they stuck with the family of nice wolves and played that through. Just my thoughts!
