I truly hope you guys watch Night of the Doctor and The Last Day before the next episode. I think it will really help you understand these new developments. Even if there is not enough time to react and edit them with your busy schedule, I hope you can watch these on your own time. Here are the links if you need them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U3jrS-uhuo (Night of the Doctor), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eem2Ehq_xBI (The Last Day).

This episode, the shorts and the following ones are my absolutely favorite moments of the whole Doctor Who. And even though I watched them countless times, I still can't stop tears when I hear "but not in the name of the Doctor".

I really hope they can do this, even if they don't react to it for the Patreon!

I believe Rosie has mentioned The Night of the Doctor and An Adventure in Space and Time (one being a very short prequel of sorts, and another being a docu-drama about the creation of doctor who - an absolutely wonderful, well made special celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who), both of which I really hope you guys might be able to squeeze in before moving on to the next episode!

Even if you don't react to them, I suggest you two watch "Night of the Doctor" and "The Last Day" before jumping into The Day of the Doctor. While not fully required, they definitley give some insight to what you are watching for the next episode. There was also a little movie that came out around the 50th anniversary called "An Adventure in Space and Time" I would recommend watching. It dosn't connect to the story at all but it shows some backstory to the production of Doctor Who and how it came to be. Very good film in my opinion.

Loved the reaction. I'm so happy that you two seemed to have enjoyed the second half of series 7 as it tends to be pretty heavily criticized by the fandom. I can't wait for the 50th anniversary special - you're in for a real treat!

I think you guys should at least watch the Night of the Doctor Short before next episode and I’d love a reaction to the “Adventure in Space and Time” movie as well!

Tori Jeri

If you could get someone to take off the beginning credits for the next episode (50th special) I think it would make it more enjoyable for you guys! Also this episode the next and the Christmas special as a trilogy is one of the best parts of all of doctor who

Daryl

As others have said, and you mentioned at the end about the other stuff you need to watch before the 50th special. I really do hope that An Adventure in Space and Time is included in that.

Josh

You’ve made it guys, one of the greatest episodes to date is up next. Hope you get a chance to see the night of the doctor short and “an adventure in space and time” documentary film about the show. Also skip the intro theme credits for the 50th!!

The doctor says in this episode "the name you choose, its like a promise you make." When he first met Clara at the Dalek Asylum her name was Oswin. The second time he met her in The Snowmen, her name was Clara, and he said in that episode "nice name, Clara. you should definitely keep it." The next time they meet, she is Clara again. Almost like it was her keeping a promise in the narrative to protect him the same way he made a promise to protect by calling himself the doctor. I may be reaching here but Its what I got from this episode the first time he said that your name is like a promise- I immediately thought that might be why her name was Oswin the first time they interacted verbally, and then it stayed the same since the Snowmen when he told her to keep it. Might not be intentional but I love reading into these things.

Hey guys!! I just binged through all of your Doctor Who reactions and I’m so excited that I caught up here! The 50th anniversary is next! I remember seeing it in the Cinema when I was 11 years old – they featured it specially! I wore a fez and everything (cringy I know), but it’s now an amazingly fond memory! They played a little interactive cinema clip in the beginning with the Doctor speaking directly to the audience! It really meant so much to me as a kid, feeling immersed in the Doctor Who world! The 50th really lived up to the hype!! I watched ‘An adventure in time and space’ much later but I do think it’s definitely worth a watch! A brilliant story and an equally great retelling of history!!! Thanks for keeping me entertained this past difficult week!

I just got caught up because I can’t fucking wait until the 50th anniversary special. This was the cliffhanger where the fandom lost all chill
