This is one of the weekest stories, in my opinion. In fact, I forgot about it and thought you were reacting to the next one today :D However, I think the question why this one made the Doctor so angry has a simple answer. It's a direct reaction to what the "evil doctor" says: "Everything but the nerve to do what needs to be done. Thank the gods my people weren't relying on you to save them". It had to remind 11th about his own decision to destroy Gallifrey and kill all Time Lords, the very people that were actually relying on the Doctor to save them.

I think one reason that the Doctor gets so angry this time - is because he's been off travelling by himself for some time - like she said in the previous episode the gaps between their trips are getting longer. we know the Doctor can go a bit dark side if he's on his own for too long.

I think the attitude might have been because they were supposed to go on an actual trip to somewhere nice and instead ended up in Mercy

I actually really like this episode. It isn't without its flaws - but I think they got a lot right. And yeah the actor who plays the Gunslinger did a fantastic job. One of the things I really like is the clear affection they show for the western genre.

From the comments, it doesn’t look like anyone else is having the same problem but on the highlights Vimeo link I’m getting a “Sorry, we couldn’t find that page - Make sure you’ve typed the URL correctly, or try searching Vimeo. You could also watch one of the videos below instead.” Error message and the one on here says “sorry this doesn’t exist” or similar… The watch along link works - it’s just the highlights one that’s broken. I’d watch the watch along but I really enjoy the visuals with the reactions. Is there another link / way of watching? No worries if not - this is the first time the Vimeo link hasn’t worked (the Patreon link hasn’t worked for me for a while). Love you guys - really enjoyed your SPN finale reaction!
