Another great reaction guys :) Always enjoyed this episode for continuing River's origin story and for finally showing River's first meeting with the Doctor after we'd already seen his first meeting with her back in Series 4. And it seems like in that scene with Amy, Rory and Mels they're supposed to be late high school age as present-day Amy and Rory are around 22 or 23 years old.

please don't spoil things for them

I love the fact that River was able to have that time with her parents growing up. It's still sad they didn't get to raise her 😔

River + fish fingers and custard reference = me going 😍😍😍😍. Love this episode. It’s equal parts whimsy, adventure and heart. And did I mention it’s got River Song in it.

great reaction, FISH FINGERS & CUSTARD is a reference to When the Doctor first met young Amelia and she cooked for him and the only thing he liked was dipping fish fingers into custard, I like this episode a lot but if you watch it close to after you watch the previous one(a good man goes to war) it seems not as good as it is,

RORY: Is anybody else finding today just a bit difficult? I'm getting a sort of banging in my head. AMY: Yeah, I think that's Hitler in the cupboard. RORY: That's not helping.

I remember at the time we were wondering about the mid season finale and I think someone said about the fact it was down to production issues. The scene where Amy and Rory drove through a field to attract the Doctor couldn't be filmed prior to the original TX date, because it wasn't wheat season/ had no access to a field. So they decided to split the season for the first time so they could wait for a wheat field to grow that they had access to. I can't seem to find anything about it though. It's one of those things that I distinctly remember at the time but can't find now!
