Love this episode, and I will say that you will get all your answers at some point :) Don't forget, the doctor didn't even know about the war they mentioned either, nor did he know why they wanted the baby at first. In terms of how long did they plan River, according to the showrunner (who wrote Rivers first episode in the library and took over as showrunner after Tennant left) it was the plan all along and hence why they gave Amy the name pond.

My favourite bit of this episode is when the Doctor finds out River’s true identity. Matt’s acting is perfect! I love how he mimes kissing and then looks over his shoulder at Amy and Rory 😂😂😂. But for me, River is the equivalent of the “Charlie” effect in SPN. Her presence automatically gives the episode a +2 rating bump.

I don't comment as much as I should but this episode is one of my favourites of Matt Smith's run. River Song is probably my favourite character in Doctor Who and this reveal is fantastic! I love seeing peoples reactions to this moment, they're great! Glad you guys enjoyed the episode. :)
