I think I was the one who commented in the fashion ep., yes that didn't felt like it hit for me, and this ep. also is kind of the same status but it hit a little better, it felt to me like Shawn's line "just like that", like the episode ended just like that! Idk, I LOVE this show, but it isn't without its faults to me. Yes we'll gonna see more from that side of Lassiter, Franks had plans for his character since day 1, those plans were the reason why the female detective from ep. 1 got swapped, because Franks didn't want that to affect his plans for the character. The main reason why I liked this ep. better than the fashion one, is the last scene which is so great because there's a "profile" for people who use sarcastic humor, and that usually is because they use it as a defence mechanism to hide their deep seated issues, and we found out what are Shawn's reasons for his sarcastic nature. PineappleS plural! was in the first scene with Henry and Madeline when Henry was opening the wine bottle there was a fruit basket on the counter in the bottom left corner, in Haversham office peculiar placed on a table when Gus tells Shawn "you better take of that robe" you see it right between them for a sec, on Haversham kitchen in the scene when Gus says "I can't move my legs", and in the Shakespeare lady flashback the lady behind them with the shopping cart had one in it, You know what? I know it's difficult to spot some of this cause some are very secluded than others, or it's a case of "I gotta look after the pineapple" and then the ep starts and you get into the story and "oh shit, I forgot to look after the pineapple".😜 So I'm gonna try something, I'm gonna give you a clue to look after for the next ep: there are a few next ep. also! A couple are right in the first 2 minutes of the ep! Fun tidbits: Shawn mentioned in a line that "he visited Alice Bundy in prison", Alice Bundy is the girl from S1 finale who haunted the sororities who killed her friend. And the technical consultant Burton Franks is apparently Steve Franks' father, which the Burton Guster's character was named after, this is something I'm ashamed to say I didn't know up until now...what a Psych-O I am.😂

This has always been one of my favorite episodes of Psych for a couple of reasons: 1. The writers shift into pairing the usual goofy comedy with a little bit more vulnerability in the characters. 2. We get some insight into Shawn and Henry’s characters and emotional relationship. (Which is honestly one of my favorite things about Psych as a whole: the non-romantic relationships, like Shawn/Henry, Shawn/Gus, Juliet/Lassiter, are the ones that take the front seat in the storytelling) 3. And we actually get a glimpse into the acting chops the actors on the show, which is always exciting! John, I’m so excited you are becoming a true “Psych-O” and I can’t wait to see what you think of this amazingly underrated show!! ☺️ (PS thank you all you do to share this with us! Whenever I get a notification, I get excited because your reactions and insight are always so refreshing at the end of the work day! 🙌🏻)

I am so happy you have reached season 3. Season 2 is also wonderful, but I got really behind on the reactions, and have finally almost caught up. I find myself loving every episode. I like how you described it as being like comfort food as some point in season 2, which it totally is. It doesn't bother me that some mysteries take a slight back seat or get resolved in an unconventional way. In this episode, I think it was necessary so that the character work for Sean, Henry, Sean's mom and Lassiter could take center stage. I also loved the model episode, and thought it was really clever the way the wrap up played out. I think every actor is perfectly cast. I admit I initially had a "Seriously?!? You really don't know who Cybill Shepherd moment is?" moment. But, I'll give you a pass since I think much of her best known work comes from 80s and early 90s 😜. I am roughly the same age as the James Roday Rodriguez and Dule Hill, so I instantly knew who she was, and all their pop culture references are right in my wheel house. On another note, there are many, many haunting episodes throughout the series, so there is plenty to look forward to.
