I pretty much agree with your thoughts on this episode. The strong bits were all the beats between the main protagonists and antagonists. Crowley and Dick, Crowley and Castiel, and especially Dean and Castiel. And the return of Baby. But the action felt like “let’s wrap this up and get rid of these boring Leviathans”. They seem to have run out of time. Kevin talks about the need to blow up something, but that never happens. I wonder if they changed the script at some point, because when you see Baby charging towards Leviathan HQ, there are quite clearly two people in the car, but then it turns out it’s only Meg. Anyway, we’re done with Season 7 now. On to Season 8, with a new show runner, Jeremy Carver. He took over for the next 4 years.

43:00 HOLD UP!! What do you mean by "I watched 8S of Arrow" and "I'm no stranger to your main enemy of the season sucked"?? 😂 most Arrow villains are AWESOME! Deathstroke is basically the reason why I stucked with that show!...If anything the protagonists sucked more often than the antagonists.😝

First of john i personally am not distracted by you crying as half the time you guys crying makes me cry. Secondly this finale was underwhelming for me. I agree with greg about the lack of focus on sam and dean and i agree with john about the weird way it sort of conclude the leviathan plan. Season 8 is a step up with only a few bad plots compared to this season so looking forward to that.

I agree the cliffhanger to purgatory is a very engaging possibility. Seeing baby again for the first time in a while was really satisfying. The actor's portrayals bring the different elements together as best as could be. Onward and upward for a while next.

This season is what you get when you bring your EP back and throw your new showrunner under the bus. Some things worked, but most of it didn't. I wish I could say this is my least favorite season, but sadly...it's not.

I made it to that poi.....haha So when this loaded up I seen the video length and was like, damn they really went deep with the analysis of this finale. But then half of the breakdown was talking about Johns emoting lol I was still so entertained! Greg, your impression was spot on. Also when you cry its exactly like you described, stoic, still, statuesque. For me Supernatural starts going up from here! 8! 9!! 10!!! Cant wait!
