Fun fact, Misha Collins played Elliot Ness in an episode of Eric Kripke’s other show Timeless. So I thought it was funny when you guys thought Ness was Cas.

I know this is not anime but do you guys know that My hero academia season 5 is coming out today. Only japanese for episode 1 of season 5 so far though. But it's a good episode for my hero academia.

Never been a huge fan of this episode. I often skip it on rewatches. But watching it with you here, it was interesting to see the little tidbit that Dean actually picked something other than scissors and still lost the Rock Paper Scissors battle, lol. Just not his game. 😂 A couple comments on Sheriff Jody Mills. (1) LOL - Don’t go trying to kill her off before her time. We’ve already lost enough characters (especially women!) and (2) shipper fandom agrees with you that drinking scotch and working into the night should have lead to some hanky panky for Jody and Sam. 😉 Yes, the end to the episode was very abrupt. There was another scene that got cut from the end, so I guess the episode ran long. I don’t know the full extent of the scene, other than at least some remarks about Dean looking good in his suit. That’s the only bit I’ve seen on social media. Maybe the DVD extras show a longer scene.

This is one of the more interestingly fun episodes of the series for sure. You can tell Jensen/Dean had a lot of fun with all of the 40's stuff, and I agree the trope of how movies he watch are not accurate portrayals of the time period is my favorite element. The hardest part to deal with, in the terms of this show, is nearly every character introduced is really cool and interesting that it hurts so much to lose them. The scene thinking about Bobby and Rufus is very difficult, in a good way. I will always say the reason I got into, and kept watching, this show is its ambition to constantly try different things. Sometimes it leads to some duds, but sometimes it leads to some gems.

The DVD actually had a little featurette about the composition and recording of the music for this ep, so y’all are very astute noticing. There are two composers for the show, and they usually alternated episodes, but for this one they worked together. And they had a blast and are quite proud of reproducing that 40’s sound.
