Hi! I know this is a super late reply, but I’m a new Patreon member and watching these now. I love ATLA, but I’ve only ever watched and rewatched this show, I know nothing of the greater lord. But I’m super curious, especially now that they’ve finished, would you mind sharing the lore? Or a good place on YouTube to learn the lore?

A clarification; Roku is not a part of every Avatar. He's just the most recent Avatar, i.e. the one who preceded Aang. When he says he's "mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes', he's just referring to his past lives (Kyoshi came before him, and others before her). I hope that clears things up! And fire isn't necessarily the hardest element to master. The cycle is consistent for every Avatar (Fire, then Air, then Water, then Earth), so every Avatar born an Air Nomad like Aang learns Fire last, those from the Fire Nation like Roku learn Earth last, Kyoshi and others from the Earth Kingdom learn Water last, and those from the Water Tribes learn Air last. There's a lore reason for this, but I can't really say what it is (spoilers and all that).
