Finally have time to catch up with these reactions! Ugh this show always got me to cry (or at least tear up) and I loved it 😂 I remember watching this when I was very busy with university work and, because of that, I felt quite lonely (you know, no time for socials and such). Let's just say I was a mess when Leon and Violet discuss their experiences with loneliness.

Re-watching some of the earlier episodes that might not be received that well. I think it's easy to say some episodes are boring or didn't click in a certain way. But upon re watching I dived deeper and I found new appreciation for the theme/lesson they tried to convey in those episodes. I think we assume a lot of the time that a show needs to be complex to be interesting and it throws us off when a show is very simple like this one. To your point, it is kinda hard to explain what the show is about because of the simplicity. The show is foremost a human experience that can't be put into words.

Aw Greg! You’re gonna have to have tissues on hand for these reactions.

Aw, yeah!!!! Haha it is kind of nice having a show that helps get those tears out. It's a good catharsis lol. And I can TOTALLY see this episode especially resonating under those circumstances. Least we can be alone but together with Violet & Leon! :))

Yeahhh, I think especially in the west we put A LOT of value on plotting and events, so the more tonal or emotionally-driven things become a sort of niche. Or I guess people expect their character study to come with an intricate plot to balance things out or something like that. But to me this has been a really enriching contrast from all of that. I guess people have to be open to it, but I'm enjoying going on a COMPLETELY different type of journey from most of the other shows we watch here lol.

Maybe that's the beauty of this show haha. It's tricky to properly explain, but if you take the interest, you shall be rewarded 😂
