Dean's favorite kind of zombie...one who makes pie! But seriously, I still tear-up like a baby when Bobby and his wife are having their goodbye scene, and he realizes he has to kill her again. Also, all the love to Sheriff Jody Mills who put aside her trauma and protected her town like a badass. The plot and character moments in this definitely deserve the high praise you gave the episode. Can't wait for the next one!

I don’t think I liked the first viewing as much as you guys. Now, looking back, I do appreciate many aspects you talked about. Sheriff Jody Mills is one of the best parts. (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody😉)

Oh, and a hint for next episode. I know it takes you a couple minutes to settle into an episode by joking and talking. A suggestion to Not do that next week. ❤️

I always forget how great and tragic this episode is, until I rewatch it. Poor Bobby! Glad you guys enjoyed it so much!

I think this is another one that grew on me on later viewings. First time round I only kinda liked it, but now I think it's a really solid episode. Like you say, SPN doing their own twist on well known monsters is always such fun. I also love how late they leave it until the zombies start turning. It lets the episode have more emotional impact as they draw out the relationships in the early part - not just Bobby but the Sheriff too. And I think this is the second off screen appearance of the 4th horseman. Another 3 episodes and you'll be at a landmark - 100th episode!

2021-07-15 04:41:49 Btw Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid is a great noir/comedy movie from the 80s directed by Carl Reiner (RIP) & starring Steve Martin and a flock of old time Hollywood actors/characters spliced in. It’s a good time. Highly recommend But don’t take my word...sheesh

Thank you so much for this Reaction! You've made me appreciate this episode more than I usually do. I've always liked it, but never fully appreciated it in the way you did. I think this show spoiled me in some ways, so now I've just come to expect this from every episode. That could be why I get so harsh at times if I don't feel an episode lives up to expectations. You bring a different perspective to viewing the show, and that's partly why I love watching Reactions. I've already liked that we got an episode that focused on Bobby. He's an important part of the show and deserves more attention, I think. Jared has said he had a hard time filming that scene with the old lady zombie. The part where she basically spit into his mouth is the sort of thing he just can't handle. So that makes it fun to watch, because I know that he was not having much fun. I know. That's kind of mean.
