"The Beginning"

Well guys...we made it to the end of Gotham & what a journey it's been! I did my whole sentimental shpeal on the last post so I'll just say THANK YOU ALL AGAIN - especially to those who heavily encouraged me to check this out.

-  10 years later... Jim plans for "retirement" but of course...some high stakes drama like Riddler breaking out of Arkham & Penguin being released from Prison keep the man in the game - especially as he tries to prove Harvey Bullock is innocent

- I'll just say it... There's a BAT in town!

- Cameron Monaghan delivers another turn as Joker & it's flippin' creepy!

- Selena is the only one who looks older & has a different actress as she's fully embraced her criminal ways

- Barbara is a redhead! 

- SO MUCH MORE explored in the FINALE!

I will definitely binge watch this show with your reactions. I stopped around season 4 beginning. Glad you enjoyed the show.

This is hands down my favorite comic book show. This has some of my favorite iterations of Batman characters like Alfred and Penguin to name a few. You were right calling it underrated. Many people just couldn’t get past the first season and the viewership dropped drastically. I am so happy loyal viewers kept it alive for five seasons. As for this episode, it is more of an epilogue/new beginning rather than a finale. I think Jim did recognize Batman as Bruce but keeps it to himself rather than tell Bullock. Thank you for reacting to Gotham and I am glad you enjoyed this amazing series.

Imma miss your reactions to this super underrated show I'm glad you stuck with it with such a smaller audience then normal, I thought it was a great way to end and possibly begin a new series I just wish more people would watch it, it did its own thing and had its own feel that was completely its own and I appreciate the cast and crew so much, I really hope you can react to Doom Patrol next its such a great show its praised by critics but not as well known to the general audience, it too has a great unique feel all its own that I think you will really love and season 2 just aired its first 3 episodes today, so by the time ya finish season 1 season 2 should be ready waiten for ya, I also recommend The Harley Quinn Animated show I think it would be great if you and John both reacted to that one its such a fun show, anyways I want to thank you so much for all the years you reacted to this show its been a great thing I look forward to every week and I can't wait to see what comes next :)

Glad you like the show. I stop watching around season 3 when it was on TV. I think I will continue where I left off from with your reactions. Are you going to watch more DC shows after this? I kind of want to know your thoughts on Titans and doom patrol. I have only season both season 1 of their shows.

I'm really happy you've enjoyed watching along :)) I remember vaguely hearing mixed reactions back when the show first started, but so many shows need a handful of episodes or a season to find their real footing. Very happy enough people watched to at least get it to these 5 seasons (even if the final one had some weirdness with the episode count). I think this is undoubtedly gonna be a show that sticks with me. Alfred, Penguin, friggin' Cameron Monaghan?!?!? I like the way you put that too - more like an epilogue. It's a cool note to leave things off on - feed the hope that maybe one day it'll come back when Bruce is older or something lol

I was slow to starting, but this show is really something special and it's been a treat being able to share that with you guys - no matter whatever size the audience might be compared with some of our other stream-alongs 😝 really appreciate all the passion and insight you guys have been sharing. I think they were really wise to let this show take on a life & flavor of its own within the Batman/Gotham City mythology. I feel like that's part of what we should hope for with each adaptation - a unique or interesting take. Not sure yet what I'll be replacing this with just yet - with 4th of July coming this weekend, I'll probably get onto a new show next week), but I've heard so many great things about Doom Patrol, it's definitely being considered at the very least. Not sure about the likelihood of Harley as a full-on react series here, but have been hearing good stuff about that one also. Having some type of comic book presence in the watch-alongs seems like something we'd like to maintain for the time-being, but we'll see how things shape up in the coming week. Either way, really appreciate all your love & feedback over this series. Whatever's next, I hope it's up your alley!!

Thanks, man! If you were enjoying any of what you saw up until that season 3 point, I'd definitely recommend continuing (not just because of the reactions lol - there's some really crazy, awesome shit in this show). If you do, I really hope you enjoy!!! I haven't finalized a choice yet on what the next show will be, but looking at some more DC stuff, potentially. Doom Patrol has been requested a fair number of times, so considering that one, we'll see. Planning on getting to that show at some point regardless whether here or just on my own time haha. Most likely choosing next week, so keep a lookout!

I finished Season 1, but I can't access Season 2 or 3. I looked and 4 and 5 are unlocked. Is there anyway to fix that?
