Yep Andrew is lash. Big shock this episode. Your questions about little things most of the time get answered. Remember the episodes are like puzzle pieces. You don’t get everything all at once. There are so many clues to Andrew being lash the main being daisy being so sure that the person who was lash had insider information about inhumans but instead of the atcu it was inside shield.

Great twist. I was kicking myself I didn't see this coming since it had to be someone we knew. Banks was a good fake though. BTW Powers Booth is not a new character. He's in The Avengers on the World Council advising Nick Fury.

Have you noticed how much time you spend smiling and laughing while watching? Genuine enjoyment even in the small things. That's what makes this show great, it draws you in and then just entertains while still telling a larger nuanced story.

That Lash reveal still hurts lol Andrew is such a likable dude so this twist was quite the shock. Even though at the time some people did kinda predict it, nobody fully bought it. Even those who suggested the theory were just saying it as a crazy option. And then it happened and we were like WHAT 😆 I think the brilliance of the little stinger at the end was that Blair Underwood is still playing Andrew normally. The reveal itself and the sound ambience makes it more sinister. Now we have a different perception on why he's asking the things he's asking. If you go back to previous episodes, he's constantly asked about the whereabouts of other inhumans. Of course, the little turn at the end eas visibly more sinister. But aside from that, our new perception of him is mostly what made that Daisy interaction feel so much different!

A big shock and then some!! I'm still reeling over here haha. I just hope I'm keeping all the necessary pieces together over here! Love how they use & place those little details, though. They make the experience feel that much more lucid & alive. I'd be fascinated to rewatch some of these recent episodes to see if I can pick out any clues re: Andrew. Still makes me super-sad haha. Shooting the next one soon!

Right??? Like I said above haha, I'm still reeling from this revelation. Legit bummed, but true that re: Banks. Every time I found myself thinking "it's gotta be that guy!" I had to catch myself, because OF COURSE lol. And thanks for the memory jog on Powers Booth's character. I felt like I'd seen him somewhere in the MCU before, but wasn't sure if I was just getting confused with Sin City or something else like that 😅

Aw haha, I hadn't noticed it explicitly, but I definitely get a big kick & a lot of enjoyment out of these episodes :) Things I'm particularly enjoying or finding especially clever or something like that often tend to make me giggle, I've noticed. So that probably happens a lot here also. That is a great point, though. This show's got a great balance of actual storytelling + genuine entertainment. Still one of the most pleasant surprises in my viewing regimen these days :)

UGH. You're not kidding lol. I would KILL to have been there for some of that fan-chatter back in realtime 😂 It almost hurts more than Ward, in a strange way, because Andrew just seems like such a good dude!!! 😫 I gotta go back and re-watch the stinger before the next ep, so I can drink in the contrast again. Obviously it's gonna play differently now, given what we know, but I wanna study Blair Underwood's performance there again in that little exchange. ...and of course now I'm just worried about what fate is gonna befall Lashdrew moving forward 😳

The biggest sting of the Lash reveal is it reveals a couple of horrifying things about Andrew's character. Remember Lincoln's theory that all inhumans have a purpose and that Lash's purpose is to hunt inhumans? Andrew is supposed to be a trauma therapist and S.H.I.E.L.D. is using him to try and rehabilitate inhumans. He's actively hunting every inhuman other than Daisy, even those under S.H.I.E.L.D. care, observation, and protection. So what leads a doctorate holder in psychology and a black man to hunt people on the basis of their species?

thereelrejects

God, I hadn't thought of it that way, but that is an EXCELLENT question. Definitely gonna have some things to ruminate about as this plotline develops, but fuggin' hell what a position they've got him in! It's got me sitting here thinking back to all the different moments he's advised people - especially Daisy. I think right now my biggest question is how much of what informs Lash was inside of him all along? 😰
