I thought the season finale was well done , lots of times seasonal anime shows can fumble the finales . But this time i thought it hit all the narrative and emotional beats it had to. I Normans apparrition thing is a trope used in anime that I very much like . Its just characters projecting the idea of a lost one and trying to cope with that in specific way . I also liked Ray's arc, like you said it was very intetional to show him helping younger kids with that big brother touch . Its really good character moment and its fitting considering how he usuallly was during whole show. And I very much liked show humanizing Isabella , just the body language and micro expressions alone carried so much weight as far as her character goes . And realizing Ray is her child, just really good moment , just her realizing that and panicking. Overall its a neat show with some good direction and tense feeling of an escape with horror elements mixed in. I feel like first few episodes were probably the weakest so it gives pretty bad impression. Also Phil, hah.

Missed a whole lot of TPN reactions. Will definitely try to catch up. This show surprised me in the best way possible. I never thought it would have the depth and emotions of a "serious" show. Of course there are plenty of anime tropes in here but I think the direction and writing are good enough that I don't care about those while watching. Now what's next? 👀 Violet Evergarden would be a nice change of pace. Or Kimetsu no Yaiba, considering how popular it is now haha

I’m late, but I finally caught up on these reactions! What an incredible finale bringing everything full circle. And i love that we got to understand Isabella a little bit more. That staredown between her and Emma on the wall was just SO GOOD. I kinda thought ray may be her son because they had similar features, but what really clinched it was Ray revealing his fetus memories, and singing the lullaby to himself in the library and Isabella telling Emma she could be grow up “have a child” and train to be a Mom in the scene where emma’s crying on the bed. The re-watch value on this series is super high which I love. Glad we got a happy ending (for now). Lol
