I honestly think this was probably the weakest episode so far . Despite plot moving forward and information being revealed thats relevant to characters . I was not feeling any actual emotional engagement . And sister Krone stuff ,yeah it was too much for me personally , but thats normal since i always complain about characters who clash tone wise with the show . Like Misa from Death note or in this case Krone , lol. And overall i would say the directing and visuals were quite a bit weaker, it did not feel as deliberately paced and directed as previous eps . Which is understandable , not every ep can be super storng , not every ep needs it . As for Ray taking pictures , only know i realized something rewatching about that whole thing .

I have a soft spot for ol’ Kroney she’s a completely unique female in anime but I get how it would be too much for people. Her creepy stares and smiles, even the way she was dancing while talking to the kids or when she breaks into a song, everything about her is slightly off. Even though she’s physically intimidating she seems very childlike to me (a giant, creepy, loud, off-her-rocker, amazon child). Then there’s those shots when she looks like a Terminator 2 badass and the way the animation ‘moves’ with her every step it’s just too dope. For a ‘high scorer’ her scheme is pretty weak and she’s 10 years too early to try and beat Mama. Only thing with both the anime and manga, I never got the sense of fear that the adults should have for this system and the demon overlords. I’m still more afraid of Mama than all the demon society put together. If Krones’ aim is survival as an adult, which is only one level above being food, it’s like there’s no desperation or at least caution to her behaviour. She’s only concerned with advancing herself.

Y'know, that's actually a pretty fair bit of criticism for this one. I was engaged with it, but it didn't have a ton in the way of emotional details or intimacy. I imagined Sister Krone must be driving you up a wall each time she shows up haha. I do get a kick out of her personally, but I also recognize that she sticks out kinda like a sore thumb from the rest of the show, so not sure entirely how I'll wind up feeling about that overall. Buuuut you may get some relief next ep if things pan out the way it looks from the end of this one 😝 As for Ray and the camera, I went back over a few of those scenes, but didn't glean anything new (unless he's taking shots of things to preserve their memories if he leaves them behind? Guess I'm gonna have to keep my eye trained on him that-much-more on the next one 😅

Haha I feel ya! I feel like I can't really argue with anyone who doesn't like her/finds her distracting, but I get a kick out of her, despite the tone-shift. Her creepy little baby doll definitely feeds into that child-like quality she has. Like a GIANT little girl who can kick your ass haha. I do enjoy the way they animate with her motions, especially in previous eps. They make her run SO unnerving lol. I'd be curious to hear more of what sets her apart from other female characters of this variety tho! If I DO have a complaint, though, it's kinda what you brought up here. She seems a little too un-self-aware. Half the time she's singing schemes in her room, I'm sitting here worried all that sound is gonna carry 😅like an advanced version of previous issues with the kids not being cautious about their audibility, but... x5 haha. So yeah, her plan/approach doesn't seem especially brilliant.. Fair point, too, about the adults. I guess I hadn't noticed as much since we've only spent time with a couple, but it would be nice to get a window into that emotional state.. doesn't seem like there's much life out there for humans atm..
