I should probably binge through these pretty soon. I stopped right before the Euphy stuff, didnt want to be sad. This series is pretty nostalgic for me it's one of the first anime`s I watched week to week as it was airing in Japan.

VV is technically not Charles brother they are not related by blood. It's mostly used as a term of endearment in this case. Basically Charles made a pact and a vow with VV to rid the world of lies, thus VV granted the power of geass to Charles. Just like with CC and Lelouch, Charles and VV are accomplices. The power of geass of is way older than VV thus it's mystical and very ancient. However, only CC and VV are able to pass powers of the geass to others and also remain immortal. Later on they explain more on how CC developed her powers.
