Love watching people see these two episodes. Finally, some answers start coming but remember, it's only mid-season 4. This particular plot arc has a long way to go yet. The arc is a little more complex than earlier seasons. After some more comedic/whimsical episodes the humour is dialled right down for now to make room for the serious stuff. Like you say, there's a good reason for the change in Ruby. First, she's spent some rather uncomfortable time in hell. Also, she's had plenty of time to be with Sam without having to fight off Dean's distrust all the time. So she's much closer to Sam now. Anna's gorgeous - biggest eyes in the universe. Apparently it's not being new on set that's the issue - the SPN set has a reputation for being one of the most friendly and welcoming to all alike, whether appearing for one day or recurring. The pressure is whether they'll make a good impression with the fans, and that's more difficult. Dean apologizing to Ruby is hilarious. I still think he trusts her about as far as he can throw her (which, given how tiny she is, is probably a decent distance), but he has to recognize that at least she probably saved his brother from drinking himself to death. I don't think Jared was seeing Gen yet. But he did fall for her pretty fast. (They were both single at the time - no other relationships affected). Looking forward to seeing you get into Part 2.

I had to laugh at your reactions to Sam and Ruby going at it. Sammy having sex with a demon isn't too far off from him having sex with a werewolf, like he did in season 2. But really, could a human female handle all of that??? Your reactions are fun to watch, and I'm glad I finally became a Patron. I'm catching up. I'm about done with season 2 - which is one of my favorite seasons. Season 4 is another one. I really like episodes like this, where there is a lot going on and you're left a bit stunned afterwards, processing it all. At least that's what happens to me. I was really into the direction the show was going at this point. At first, I wasn't too sure about the show bringing angels into it. But I think they've handled it okay so far. I actually like that the angels aren't the cookie cutter variety we see in other shows. The actual point when Jared and Gen started dating is a bit nebulous, so he's said that he liked her from the beginning, and eventually got her to say "yes" to going out. And the rest is history. I'm sure you're not interested in hearing all the details about J2's relationships off camera. But if you are . . . .

Sammy has a bit of a problem with the wimmin. First Jess - burned on the ceiling. Then a werewolf - shot dead. Now a demon, who is someone who is basically already dead, possessing a dead body. Boy has issues!
