Fun fact Jared had food poisoning while filming part of this episode. He had gotten drunk and ate raw ribs (a gift from Tom Welling of Smallville btw). Jared tells the story of it in one of the conventions. You can tell he is sick when he is trying to pull the coin out of the well.
