So most of these scenes are censored in the show so far, due to kid friendly time slot . In the manga the deaths are fucked up, lol. As for Hisoka, he is no examiner. Thats all im gonna say. I did like the bit where Greg, noticed how Gon takes in every new experience, especially the bit about how hes excited about near dying because of Hisoka, lol.

Jessica McGuire

Hisoka is one of those grey anime characters that leans heavily towards black. His motivations for not killing the guys are kind of a shonen anime "bad guy" trope, but that's not very clear at this point in the show. I think you're actually supposed to be confused about his motivations at this point.

Either way that's something I've always been curious about & fascinated by. The sensibilities are rather different here 😅 And good to know re: Hisoka. Will keep that in mind haha. I wasn't exactly sure if i was supposed to be relieved or not for Gon in that moment (until he let them go lol). Duly noted, though, will definitely keep an eye on Gon's development thru these situations.

Ahhhhh okay, good to know. Will definitely be keeping an eye on him moving forward, then. If that was the purpose, I think they definitely succeeded for me. I wasn't at all sure how to feel until he let them go... and then afterwards I still wasn't that sure.
