I’ve been waiting for you guys to see this episode! As the series goes on the writing develops more and more in that style, especially in the interactions between Sam and Dean. This is a great example of the style of the comedic parts of the show, and they get better and better at blending it in with the normal writing style.

Yay! I love this episode and am so happy you guys liked it too. I love the trickster. He's actually very dangerous but it's hard to take him seriously. He acts like that guy who's just trying to have a good time but always takes it too far. Can't wait for next weeks reaction.

I freaking love this episode. Supernatural really loves to play with form and often have genre breaking episodes and even 4th wall breaking but in the best, most perfect ways. And yeah, still sparingly or for special occasions (100th, 200th episode anniversaries...) I mean 14 years! ...they keep it fresh and keep you guessing. While also evolving the tone of the actual show pretty naturaly. ( with the exception of the infamous seasons 6 and 7) which honestly still aren't terrible and have some of the most memorable stand alone episodes. The show just got a little lost for a minute

That's a great way of putting it! Obviously no spoilers 😛 but I do hope it's not the last we see of him on this series. Not that I guess they can always have this tone, but I got a HUGE kick out of this one haha. Glad you enjoyed the video!!

Haha I don't blame you!! Little moments have been popping into my head ever since we saw it 😂 That's one of the most exciting parts of this journey to me is getting to see the different ways in which they flesh out & diversify their tone.. and I guess you can't go 14 years without stumbling here or there. I'll be sure to brace myself when those seasons pop up, but glad we've got a ways to go before then!! Always look forward to shooting these now :)

Oh god haha that really got me. At least as of now this was definitely another highlight. I love when shows like these take advantage of the fantastical for a more humorous episode here or there.

As far as I know this episode is universally loved. One of my personal favorites. My favorite part is when Dean is telling his side of the story and Sam comes up with that face and voice: "DEAN what do you think you're doing??? This is a very serious investigation Dean."
