I literally thought that he (Sam) was going to rape Jo there.

This episode is one of my favorite ones due the awesome acting this episode showed but the next episode is on the funny and weird side that SuperNatural delivered well but that's my opinion.

I didn't even remember that there were so many this well written episodes in this season. Glad to be re-watching it with you guys.

Interesting conversation at the end. I think this is an episode where Jared first really steps up his acting to a new level. I feel you when it comes to posessian scenes. But Supernatural generally does a good job with them. Maybe because they become so common and usually the things doing the possessing (demons and ...other thing) typically have such defined characters

Definitely a great episode. Jared subtly shifting his performance throughout as Sam interacted with different people. Dean answering the question of what it would take for him to kill Sam by saying he'd rather die. So excited for next week's episode. It's hit or miss for some people so I can't wait to hear your take on it. Congrats on the new set-up guys!

I always find jensen and jared tend to shine the best acting-wise when they’re performing with each other. Especially in arguments or emotional, personal moments.

I can see why! Really loved the emotional intensity between them in this episode. And just the overall intensity of the tone. Always appreciate these episodes, but I gotta say - I'm definitely down for a weird/funny detour!

Aw, we're really glad to have you! 😊 For the most part, this season has been really top-notch so far!!

Thanks so much for sticking around for the review! At least from here, it definitely feels like his acting chops have grown a good amount from the first season. That's always really cool to watch - especially in episodes like these that allow for a fun range of character work. Glad we're not too off-base with the possession stuff! It feels like a lot of the time the choice becomes sorta one dimensional - not like a character so much as just a commitment to being gleefully evil... I think that's sorta the key to how the show gets that right (at least a lot of the time) - they expand upon the demon characters and what their world is like beyond them just.. being generic demons..

Thanks so much! 😊Really enjoyed this episode as well! Definitely a highlight too as far as Sam-centered episodes go. Loved the intensity along with a lot of the emotional moments. I hear tell next week's is one of the more out-there episodes, so I'm pretty excited. I often enjoy those sorts of episodes, so hopefully we dig it!!

Can definitely agree with ya there! Feels like we've had more of those in season 2, but either way, this was a particularly satisfying episode on that level.

jared and jensen are such amazing actors. i honestly feel that if supernatural had been on a premium channel it would have won not just fan awards, but critic awards. jared is amazing this episode and this is just the beginning of seeing his amazing acting!

2021-07-15 05:12:45 They've steadily grown on me since the show started. Been loving their chemistry this season. Feels like they really grew into their characters & the dynamic. Granted I haven't seen some of the later ones, but at least from where I'm sitting I'd say at least one or two of these high-points could be awards-worthy! I'd hold up the bank episode a few back as well!

It's episodes like this where you realize why Jensen Ackles was offered a role in the MCU. I think it was Hawkeye. I'm extremely excited to see him in season 3 of The Boys.
