Based on what you said Greg about not remembering names well, I don’t blame you, but what you missed was during that flashback of All for One with Shigaraki as a child, he called Shigaraki by his real name, Tenko Shimura. I didn’t catch it the first time I watched, but it’s a very subtle reveal ahead of the big reveal. I’ll admit I’m also confused about the ages...unless Nana Shimura’s kid became a parent as a teenager. Lol but this episode is so emotional! Bakugo and Midoriya cheering for all might together hit me right in the soul.

You missed that they named dropped Shigaraki's real name in the last episode. Once they mentioned Nana Shimura at the end of the episode they pretty much confirmed they were related lol I just wanna make it very clear that I was cheering for All Might when I first saw this. He's my hero too xD

There’s a fan theory that All For One is Dekus father. The MHA creator is a huge Star Wars fan and the storyline’s are really thought out in the manga. Fans just had a separate theory confirmed recently so this episode really brought it back. Like some Darth Vader or Jon Snow shit. Soo good.

As a manga reader( I picked up the manga right after season 1 ended because I needed more desperately) this entire fight was hyped as fuck between all the fellow readers. All the hype in general for this first half of season 3 is something I won't forget. And given the current story arc in the manga as of right now, there's EVEN MORE hype to be had in the future.

And All For One didn't directly create the quirk one for all, he gave his brother a stockpiling quirk, which mutated and combined with the brothers useless quirk to pass on quirks. He wasn't powerful enough to take on his brother with his power, so he passed it on in hopes it would grow in strength. Nana Shimura was killed by All For One, after she'd trained and passed the quirk down to All Might, and years later into All Might's career, he confronted All For One and took him down.

And as for writing my own stuff, I like to do stuff similarly to Quentin Tarantino, where I try my best to know everything about my characters, and my story, even some of the stuff that's not important in order to flesh it out in my head. He once said, "Sometimes, it's not important for the audience to know everything about your world, or your characters, but it's important that they know YOU know." Paraphrasing of course. Haha

What Elle said, also i like that All might borrowed a "technique" from Deku like focusing All for one in to one body part. Almight reusing his broken, purple arm for the last punch was reminiscent of Deku.

Also Nana means 7 and she was the 7th All for one holder and the Ya part in Almights real name Toshinori Yagi references 8th (yattsu). 9 in Japanese can said as Ku like Deku who is the 9th holder.

Haha yeah, still trying to process the logistics, but I appreciate you enlightening us 😅definitely missed the significance of that at the time. QUITE the revelation, though! And can't agree more haha, for as much as I struggle sometimes with Bakugo, it really got me to see them both cheering All Might in unison. SUCH a good moment!

And I love that point (Ryan H) about All Might sort of taking after Deku in that instance. Regardless of whether that was the intent, I think I'm gonna go with that for now haha.

Haha yeah, that definitely flew past us at first 😅appreciate you guys keeping us on track. I think the names can be some of the trickiest for us sometimes. And I should hope so! haha. We're ALL Bakugo and Midoriya in that moment... (unless you've chosen to side with the villains, I guess.. lol)

Oh snap... 😮 well, that would certainly be a heart-wrenching twist. Given the Star Wars factor, I could definitely imagine something like that happening, but.. isn't All for One also pretty old? I'm just curious as to how the logistics would work... 🤔 Curious to know which theory was confirmed (unless, of course, it's a spoiler lol).

Appreciate the memory jog with All For One & the origins of One For All! Helps to have a refresher every now and again 😅And definitely gotta imagine the hype was INSANE for readers coming into this season & this episode. Would love to peruse and see how some of these scenes were rendered in that format, at some point.. Definitely looking forward to what's to come! And as far as the writing philosophy goes, I think that quote is right on the money! The more homework you've done and the more intimately you know your world & characters, as the writer, the better you can just walk around inside them, explore, and write freely & fluidly from that place. And the more lived-in your world & characters are going to come across. It's actually part of what bugs me about a lot of YA adaptations as it sorta becomes clear that they're often eager to show you all their world building & character details, but you can sorta tell they don't go much further beyond that. I feel like there should always be more to it than what's overtly shown to us haha

Yes totally agree. And one of the greatest feelings as a writer that ive experienced is being in the third act of a script, and literally staying up for hours just typing away. Because at that point you know the story and the characters so well that the story feels as if its pouring out of your fingertips, almost effortlessly shooting across the screen. I saw that my music had been turned off for like an hour because i was 100% zeroed in on my work.

My guess is All For One is close to 100 years old because Deku is the ninth holder of One For All and in real life guys are becoming papas in their 90’s so hey 🤷‍♀️. But back in Season 2 All Might explained that a person with the ability to steal quirks (All For One) meant there was no limit to his power. Immortality, vigor, youth, anything is possible. It’s based of similarities in “appearance” and another theory that Deku had his quirk stolen at a young age and other spoiler things. Besides there’s no ‘tragic death of the protagonists parent’ and Deku’s frequently hospitalised so WTH is dad doin?? Same thing he does every night Pinky, TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD. The one that was just confirmed isn’t a big OMG reveal but it may be linked to both theories I mentioned before and goes all the way back to the first chapter/episode which is dope. So maybe the All For One=Dad Vader isn’t a big stretch.

I admit, it's been a while since I've had a taste, but there are few things more gratifying and fulfilling than getting to that place where you're just flowing with your piece and the pages are coming out almost on their own. Interesting! Will definitely have to look further into this as we get deeper into the show, but it's a pretty fascinating theory! (Just hesitant to do any googling as I don't wanna accidentally wind up spoiling something for myself haha.) In the end, it all comes down to how they handle it, but in a way I kinda like the idea that Deku never had a quirk and it's just his spirit and conviction at the core of it, but... it would be pretty friggin' diabolical if All for One took his quirk at a young age and wound up being his father. As you said - dudes are having babies at crazy-advanced ages now and.. I guess given the fantasy of it all, I wouldn't really put it past All for One to be virile at 100 years old lol. This does make me curious about how Deku's mom would fit into all this.. I sorta can't fathom how she'd wind up in an intimate scenario with All for One, but then again, there's a lot we don't know about Mz. Midoriya haha. Suffice to say, I'm quite curious about whatever this new theory that's just been confirmed is... Once this season's done I'll have to revisit the first episode for clues 🤔
