Happy Sunday's Eve, peeps!

Thought ya might like a little BTS just Before The Start of the new week!

Admittedly, I had to do some reading on this one, but I think what these guys are doing is pretty cool!

(Alsoooo, BIG THANKS to SPREE for guiding me along in this journey haha.  Kinda going off of her list here, so very much appreciate that as well as all you other lovely humans who chime in with recommendations & helpful info!!!! 😊)

Ironically when you said that you thought they could be actors, the guy in the opening scene "V" is the one member who has acted in a drama. Also bighit actually started to release a webtoon that's telling the bts universe storyline if you ever want to read that in the future after you finish the mvs. I know there's also a lot of theory vids on youtube but I haven't seen a ton of them cause they hurt my head lol p.s. im so happy this is going to be weekly!

an important clue that I dont know if you noticed was the Polaroid. If you remeber RM took a picture of Jin(who was driving) with Suga (who was sitting in the back seat) at the gas station. At the end of the video Jin took that same Polaroid out to look at and you saw his facial expression change to confusion because Suga was no longer in the picture but he remembered taking a picture with him. The polaroids are important clues throughout the storyline.

The storyline is definitely centered around Jin. You’re doing pretty great noticing the motifs! With each of the albums since the storyline began, bighit releases “Notes” that kind of help fill-in the blanks about each of the boys characters, like the fact that the man Taehyung (V) stabbed in the I Need U mv was his drunk father. It’s where a lot of fans started developing theories. They actually announced they compiled them all into a book earlier this year and will be releasing it soon. I have a link to all of them translated and in order if you’d like once you’re done or even while you’re reacting! And as for the songs, the piano song at the beginning and used throughout is Butterfly (prologue mix), the piano piece when they’re around the campfire I believe is from Outro: Love Is Not Over, the song at the gas station is Ma City, and the heavy orchestral song that plays after Edith’s part is their song Outro: House of Cards. All are from their “Most Beautiful Moment In Life” albums. I’ll wait until you watch the Highlight reel to talk about the theory I follow, because It’ll probably make more sense then. Lol I’m always impressed by fans who put this much effort and time into translating and deciphering their content! Also I like the idea of you treating this as a TV show reaction! Just a suggestion, I’m sure the Wings short films are on the list, and since they’re all very short you may be able to do all of them in one video. But of course, whatever is easiest for you! Thanks again for doing this!

Oh, no way! Definitely seems like he's got some chops haha. Maybe we'll get a BTS movie starring V in the future 😂 And good to know!! For a half second I thought it was a cartoon I could react to lol, but I'll definitely bookmark some of these as I continue this journey. I have a feeling I'm gonna be doing a good amount of research moving forward haha. Hopefully gonna shoot the next one shortly, so keep an eye out for that!!

Thanks for filling me in, mate!! Definitely noticed the motif of the Polaroid, although I didn't quite catch the details going on with it. Knew that something was up from Jin's epression, but missed what was actually going on with the photo, itself. Will definitely keep a close watch on those in future MV's!!

And it always helps to have your insights to keep me on the up-and-up with all this. Definitely been admiring both sides haha - BTS & Co. for putting all this stuff together and the fans for really diving deep with it and deciphering all the different aspects. Pretty cool to see people invested in music to such an extent. Definitely gonna revisit I Need U just to jog my memory on some of the visual elements - especially the element with V's and his father. Would definitely be interested to take a look at the notes they've put out - probably be a good way to prep before some of these haha. Pretty cool they've decided to compile them into an actual book. Got your copy pre-ordered yet? 😉 And thanks for laying out the songs! Would this have been after MBMIL Pt. 2 dropped? Fascinated to hear about this theory you're following haha. Highlight reel is currently #15 on my list haha, so one of us will have to remind the other. Aaaand as of now, I'm hoping to have the next one early next week, so keep an eye out for that! Either be the next one in the sequence, or I know we have a top reward tier request for another of their videos, so either way more BTS is juuuust around the corner haha. This was put out right before MBMIL pt.2 dropped. Fans at the time had no idea the music playing over the credits was going to be one of their songs. Lol I haven’t ordered the notes yet, but I plan to! I’ll find the list and send you a message here soon. Things will start to make more sense as you go I promise. I just have to say, this is the most I’ve ever talked about BTS to a person who’s not already a fan. Oh snap haha, there's a fun surprise! I love secret new music lol. And yes! Open to any and all supplemental materials you'd like to send over. When the notes do come in, you'll have to send a few pics as well!! This may be the most I've researched a band & their videos in quite some time haha. Still working on getting the members down, but I think I'm slowly training my eye. Helps a lot to have a proper fan guiding my way 😊 I feel like a lot of my main musical interests are things I mostly experience on my own, so I getcha. And don't worry, I've been getting a lot out of it! It's been really fun getting to tap into the passion and personality - and the tunes are nearly impossible not to bop along to haha. I've got plenty more to learn, but I'm glad to be sharing this experience with you guys!!
