I just started this show but you’re so far ahead 🤦🏽‍♀️ lol time to catch up

I personally would be okay if Kimblee kicked the bucket lol, but as Miles pointed out, Ed is still a teenager. I wonder if he was older he would feel differently about it? I’d like to think he would stick to his convictions. He’s a very stubborn character.

Yesss haha, it's such a good show!! Plus if you watch more than 1 a week, you should be caught up by the time we're nearing the end lol. Lemme know how you like it!!

Yeahhh haha, given what I know about him, I probably wouldn't mind either (although... dramatically speaking he's been a pretty great villain so far, so.. maybe not just yet lol). That's an interesting thought, though. I guess I'd like to believe that Ed will always have these convictions.. I'd have to imagine they'll be tempered some more by the greyness of life, but.. especially in the ways he and Al have had to grow up super-fast (i.e. the taboo and things like that), I wouldn't be altogether shocked if this is just one of his core values. And yes haha, he is a pretty stubborn kid, so there's that as well 😝

Ed and Al were able to win over the chimeras by sticking to their convictions. Al's drive to get his body back and Ed's refusal to let people die are the driving force for why all 4 chimeras switch sides. I'm with you on this episode completely. The ending with Ed impaled was fascinating. He pictured his body as a stone powered by a single soul and he was able to accomplish something that shouldn't have been possible. The fight with Kimblee also reminds us that he's still just a person. He has weaknesses that can be exploited if she slips up. The stone is really what bails him out because aside from that and his twisted morality he's a regular soldier lol

2021-07-15 05:20:23 Precisely! I feel like those reversals could've easily felt flimsy & contrived if they hadn't bothered to actually have the debate and earn those moments. Both times I think they had me raising an eyebrow, but both times they won me back, so big props to the writing for that. That's a good point about Kimblee as well haha. I think I kind of associate him with being devastatingly powerful - but you're right, the stone is the key to that aspect. Kinda funny to think he's just a normal soldier, but it's a good reminder 😉Gonna record the next episode shortly, but man.. I am worried for Ed haha. That was quite the sequence at the end of this one. Especially after what it took for him to patch himself up 😅
