Gotham definately isnt above its cheesy moments like most comic book shows. the whole monk thing definitely does standout and i love how theo even points it out haha. i think when gotham does its cheesy moments best is when they embrace the super-villain aspect of some of the characters, whereas theo is more of a grounded character and the monk thing is sort of out of left field

Gotham can be campy, but usually its campiness is enjoyable. This preacher thing is not of those instances. I agree with your take.

Haha yeah, that's a good way to put it. Ya always gotta expect at least a little cheese, but I like that distinction. The cheesiness makes more sense in the context of the more "out there," villainous characters. Nice of them to at least have Theo acknowledge it, but.. not my cup'a tea overall lol
