That line at the end maybe Winry's seeing how much Ed has grown character wise or it could be a romantic thing where shes starting to see him as more than her childhood friend. I've seen that line in a few other anime over the years and its usually someone starting to discover they have feelings for the other person.

Glad your enjoying the series. Do you guys have any plans for when you finish FMA:B, AOT & MHA? Also have you checked out any other reactions for FMA? Blindwave's are pretty good.

I really really liked this ep, I was surprised they had no comedy bits while watching and then at the last part, RUINED IT, lol. I think my favorite part was about the guilt and responsibility they carry on their shoulders , to a damaging degree. And IDK why, but when I watched FMA and FMA B in Japanese , I got the impression that Hohenheim was a broken man, just from this particular ep due to different VA. And the last bit with Winry, its a trope in anime, it usually implies some romantic feeling towards that person/ growth and dependability . It's pretty cheesy, but its probably tied with Japanese culture more than anything .

Haha I like that shoulder breadth is an actual touchstone for attractiveness 😂but I can definitely see that vibe coming off of it. Seems like they've been hinting a decent amount over the course of the series thus far...

Appreciate it, man! Not sure what's gonna happen once we wrap these series up, but given the success we've seen with anime (and the general joy of getting back into the medium), I think we'll take some feedback and hop into new series once these are done. I'm big into horror stuff and grew up with stuff like Gundam Wing, so maybe something in either of those veins (at least on my end) would be a possibility... And nooo, I haven't gotten to check out any of their reactions yet! I'll make myself a note to look some up, though. Be good to see what the other folks are doing!

Hahaha the "men shorter than me" thing? Still, though, as these episodes go it's still pretty light on humor overall 😝Definitely appreciated those nuances, though, and the way they paralleled them between the boys and Izumi having essentially the same conversation, unknowingly. I'm still wondering what to make of Hohenheim. The English VA kinda has a stern, maybe distant presence about him, but I can sense some notes of brokenness or hollowness in there as well. Given my first impressions of him from a few episodes ago, this was a different vibe from what I was expecting. And that's interesting about the broad shoulders haha. If I ever travel to Japan, I'll make sure to work my deltoids 😂I guess I can see that, though. Feels like they've been low-key hinting at feelings of some variety between them. And the more intense things get, I can certainly imagine those things heating up... Maybe she can extend Ed's automail leg to give him a few extra inches lol

Oh, man... Armstrong is pretty great haha. Definitely one of my favorites as well, he cracks me up a good amount. Granted we haven't spent a toooon of time with her, but I actually really love Izumi. At least at this point in the show, she's definitely one of my favorite supporting characters. And I really do miss Hughes as well. Interested to see how my favorites change as the show progresses haha.
