Yeah this was the episode that sold me on second season. Firstly just the world building and what One for Alll actually means and such, its just a hint of it, but how it was directed was superb. And the Todoroki bit was also really well done, you can clearly see how much it takes out of him just interacting with his father and it triggers him to be way more violent than usual. But my favorite part was with Shinso. It kinda subverts that bad guy trope to an extent, he looks like a bad guy due to how he is drawn and framed, he has a power that usually is considered with villlains. But he's actually a good guy and wants to be a hero. Like subversion does not happen often in this show, since its not about that. So I appreciate even more when it does happen. Overall a really strong episode , tone wise , writing wise and of course animation wise . Some of the scenes you can see animators just showing off. lol

This is when Todoroki started becoming one of my favorite characters! Also from my perspective... I didn’t see the crowd as being scared of him? I saw it as more that they were in shock/awe because of the scale of what he had just done. But you can read it either way. I hope Shinso comes back in future episodes because his story is really compelling and unique as you said. I get so happy when Izuku kicks ass. Lol

I can definitely see why! This episode felt like it was of a different caliber in a lot of ways. Loved the spiritual element they introduced with One For All. Really appreciate that sort of approach to superpowers and I'm excited to see them expound upon that in the future.. And yesss!! Shinso definitely had to be my favorite part of this episode as well. They totally had me going with him and I love when a show can pull off a reversal like that. They had me thinking pretty much what all the other people in this world seem to think of him, so when the subversion hit it was super gratifying. And really cathartic hearing the crowd reactions afterwards. Loving the developing backstory on Todoroki as well. Truly fucked up in a lot of ways, but also (like Midoriya points out..) pretty heartbreaking. I thought he about killed Sero in this one haha. Seems like the animators got to have a whole lot of fun across the board for this episode, but that colossal ice looked pretty damn gnarly haha.

Hopefully some of that starts to rub off on his confidence 😅Definitely feel ya on Todoroki - these last few episodes he's really come into the forefront as one of our favorites as well. And I think that's definitely fair to say regarding the crowd - shock and awe at the very least (I think maybe we got fear because they cut briefly to Midoriya &amp; co. reacting to narrowly missing being hit haha). Really hope we see more of Shinso as well! I think he was my favorite part of this episode, overall. But either way, this was a pretty great one across the board. Here's to Izuku kickin' more ass in the future!! haha
