Disappearing from where?? Every once in a while, it seems like Patreon's comment feature is a little iffy, so perhaps that's got something to do with it?

Anyways . What I wanted to say is that I agree with you guys about how blockbusters are structured nowadays and just in general how we consume media and sometimes I just really want a good ass slow burn , methodically paced film.. Thankfully director like Fincher, Tarantino and Dennis Villeneuve still make those kinds of films which are backed by major studios. So its not all doom and gloom. And you were really close with my last name, good job! It's one of more comnplex names in my own language. And lol about Greg bringing porn as his example,. its so you, but its still funny as hell

Haha I guess porn is never far away with the RR... except, I suppose, for the actual watching of it lol. Glad we came close to getting your name right! Oddly honored, especially knowing it's one of the more difficult-to-pronounce ones haha. And it's definitely heartening to know we're not the only ones who still value a slow-burn or a deliberately paced film. They may not be as obviously eye-grabbing, but I feel like there'll always be some sort of home for the more patient films - a good story is a good story. And those are perfect examples! I'd argue newcomers such as Ari Aster, Robert Eggers, and S. Craig Zahler are also keeping the spirit alive. Lynne Ramsay as well! Thankfully it seems like there are still some major studios (and a good amount of indies) willing to keep the slow-burns going :)
