I was never crazy about Florence’s body of work, but I always had mad respect for her. When properly done, the union of music and video can make for one of the most magical experiences. Unfortunately, more often than not, this medium is treated as an afterthought and used for mere promotional purposes. This was anything but that. Talk about a stunner. I might just have to check out her new album after all. Thank you for sharing, John. Side note: the concept and imagery gave me strong “The Tree of Life” vibes. Good stuff ;)

No problem, really glad you got somethin' out of the video!! It's funny, I've never been much of a dedicated Florence fan, although much like you I've always thought she's got mad chops. This definitely got me intrigued to check out the next album. In an odd sorta way I feel like, with all our advances in technology and the way we consume media, music videos have sorta found a new life on the internet. There are still a fair amount of lackluster ones, but it seems like, now that there are more proper places for them to engage people, we see more well-conceived and produced music videos. Definitely an artform I admire when it's handled with panache. Still gotta sit down and check out Tree of Life!! but when we do I'll be sure to look out for the similarities haha. :)
